Nice now pull out the KN and get a real OEM from @beno and youll be better off ask how I know...................Did a few things on Bruiser yesterday:
- Changed spark plugs: Runs much cleaner and stronger without the 0.048" gap plugs (spec is 0.031") with close to 70K miles on them!
- Serviced K&N air filter
- Replaced water pump/alternator belts: When I bought it there was only one on the rear pulley groove...
- Welded up the exhaust manifold heat shields that had rusted through at the mounting holes: Hooray for no more rattles!
- Replaced door courtesy lights that were either out or not plugged in...
Things I bought/will buy today:
- Rocky Road Outfitters full step sliders
- OEM Toyota throttle cable: Hopefully this will smooth out the fairly sticky pedal feel
- New headlight bulbs: One went out on the drive back from Wenatchee yesterday. TAKING SUGGESTIONS FOR GOOD BULBS TO REPLACE THEM WITH.
Dude that is tight I like it better than mine I think. sweet job where do you score electrical supplies???
I dig tht little frame you made what size tube is that? because I may do that for other side next to drawer. good idea.Done quite a bit lately to the 96 FZJ80, now that it's my daily and not my wifes. Built a slide out tray setup that bolts to the factory hook mounts in the rear trunk area. Slides are rated at 500 lbs at full extention(40").

4" lift. PO installed custom DC front and back. I am in the process of looking for a stock shaft to replace it. The pinion angle needs to be moved much further up to run the DC and I don't want to do adjustable UCAs to correct, I don't want the spring perch pushed that far back. I have been in limbo on UCA's or stock shaft. I have vibes right now when letting off the gas. I just don't want to go stock DS and still need to adjust the pinion. It appears he also put longer LCA's they look like slee HD so the pinion is sitting parallel by my eye, I haven't measured. I think the driveline shop just sold him on DC as a fix all.How much lift are you running on your truck? Did you get the DC rear shaft for vibes? (I'm asking since I think I may need to get a DC rear shaft). Did you angle the pinion up towards the transfer case output?
