scored a full set of these top of the door trim pieces because the old ones were flaking and beat, then refinished a shifter console I got in colorado that with the new window runs its looking decent now. And swapped in a set of slee 6 in springs, these are a little softer than the dobinsons and dirt time tomorrow will tell if I finally have it dialed in correctly. also heres a side by side

Well, it was 98 degrees yesterday and 96 today. I was sitting at a stop light and saw the Koso reading 205 degrees, the highest I've ever seen it read. I started driving, got on the interstate and it dropped down to 190. Got home. Popped the hood and let her cool off for a while. Just went out to check coolant level and the overflow is empty. FAWK. I haven't noticed any leaks underneath but admittedly I haven't been looking. Will try to find time to properly test tomorrow but it doesn't look good...

I don't think your Koso numbers are too high. Mine gets that high and i don't get temps above 90 so often. Top off the reservoir and keep an eye on it. You may have caught any problem just in time.

The fan is from a LC 100 series and quite a few folks have them in love them here, where it gets kind of hot in the summer o_O
this is what i installed in my LC and this fan moves the air ,this is what you want for hot areas i have LS 5.3 engine and with that fan on and engine idling it will drop the temperature down fast
you wire it to volvo fan relay i wired one wire to ECU high speed and one to switch so i can turn it on any time

I did the brakes on the LC at all 4 fours. The rears were a breeze with the expection of the passenger rotor taking a little more to come off but I got it.

The fronts were easier then I assumed. My wife was on stand by to hold the brakes to pop the bolts loose for the hub/rotor but I was able to brake them loose with a breaker bar. One thing I did was leave the drive flange on while breaking the bolts loose and that did the trick.

Lately the brakes were feeling weird. As I got to the drivers side the outer pad was almost on metal and there were hot spots on the rotor.

As far as pads and rotors, I went with the Powerstop kit available from Rock Auto. It came with drilled/slotted rotors and there ceramic pads. The kit came with all new retaining springs for the pads and the rubber boots for the rears.

You know very well we are challenged here for the most part and we need pictures not words.

Had great day out in the sierras/Taho national forest, a little bit more adventure/hardcore off-roading than I expected...

I just wanted To take the old girl out to test the 2.5 king’s shock I recently installed. It was amazing weather so I took my son, buddy of mine and his 2kids along for a cruise in the sierras to have a picnic with some good views. @jcardona1 recomended signal peak trail, he said it’s a good easy/medium difficulty trail. Got to the trail head which shares the same staging area as Fordyce which made me feel like I brought cap gun to a cannon fight, good thing I’m not doing Fordyce. Trail started out a little steep and bumpy but nothing too hard......until one steep section that normally would need just a look but due to the rain 2days before it was a slippery mess and super tight on top of that. So I had to bust out my winch for the very first time for myself!!!

Got up with little drama with my shiiteebuit 12k and I was all giggles. Kept going and hit another spot, this one was just a soupy mess! After a couple of tries I was in 2feet of goo! So busted out the winch second time ever less than 100yards from the first time!

Had to winch twice to make it up that hill but feeling good about how well the winch worked and the fact I have one.

Finally made it to signal peak and the view was spectacular!!!

Busted out the winch again.......only to realized we made a wrong turn and have turn around.....through the same pit again and wait for it......winch again! Doh!:bang:

Gotta love the sierras and we barely made 6 miles from the freeway. My buddy had a great time even though I made him pull the cable 3 times and the kids had a blast! This is why I love the 80!

The old girl did amazingly well, ran like top and OMG the king’s 2.5s are the cats meow! Cruises on the freeway really nicely with a European firm but comfortable ride, ate up the bumps like nothing, body motion control was fantastic!

Can’t wait to explore this area more!

Fordyce lake in the distance.

Glad you guys had fun, what a mess with all that mud! Hopefully it'll be dry soon.

i do not have much pictures , but it is straight forward get the fan and look for best way to fit it in if someone cant figure it out probably have someone to do it for you
it took me a lot of measuring and looking for right fan and relay so biggest problem is solved
so get condenser fan for Suzuki vitara and cooling fan relay from Volvo ,Volvo relay is easiest relay to wire all you need two wires to make it click (google)
