Little bit more progress on the double triangulated 3/4 link rear. Upper wishbone mount. Note that uniball is not centered in this pic. Found it easier to tack in the arms at the right width then center the uniball afterwards vs the other way around:

i was just with a buggy builder in moab and he exlained that the 4 link rear setup 80s have is fighting against itself is this the cure?/

I already opened this winch up and replaced the seals, they're weren't many parts available for it last time I looked.

Yeah PS is kinda nuts. The pics really don't do it justice. To be honest it never even crossed my mine to go DOWN it.
i just did it UP down looked like to much damage since you posted this i had to do it. i have a tad more lift.

The rear geometry is really bad on these once you lift them. I was at 15° of oversteer which is about 16° too much. Based on Nuke's setup, I would say this is a big improvement over stock without having to remove the gas tank or make other major changes. I went a bit overboard, but if you really want to you can make this is entirely bolt-on aside from the plates that would support the removable crossmember.

SP got some new shoes. Love these Coopers

Also, as I was driving back from the tire shop, pulled into a wrecking yard I spotted on a whim. After some odd looks and head scratching from the gents at the desk, I was allowed to wander and found what I’m hoping is my new (used) York..... need to get the pulley off to verify it’s a 210 - fingers crossed.

This is a cool color, much better than I would have thought. Rebuild is looking nice! I can't wait until I can get mine started.

Got the head bolted on and turbo drain bung welded on to the upper pan! Almost there.View attachment 1702840

@Wompom I agree it's a great color and it looks like you've done a great job on the build. My goto for engine paint is white as it makes it easier to find leaks/etc. and any light color, including the one you picked, serves the same purpose. It's almost a match for Dobinson springs, maybe you need to add a set of those just to tie it all together ;)

I was unsure of it even after I painted it. Now that it's getting taken down a bit with everything getting bolted on I'm digging it.
Is that a custom mix color hi temp engine paint?

Where can I find one of these clutches. I live in West Texas and in the 100 degree heat I noticed the AC kicking off today as it should when it over heats . I need to address this as I also spend a ton of time in big bend .

I thought really hard about pulling my fridge, my Puma and my driver's wall to remove 2x nuts to replace my fender flare...then I thought really hard about doing it next week. It doesn't look that bad without the flare...:flipoff2:

Installed another 150 amp alternator from a sequoia this time all went well, no spikes all good to go, only thing is the scanguage seems to have just died. its 6 yrs old and due I suppose. cant find a correlation between the two. but here it is. still need to tidy up the wiring on the main battery but wasnt going crazy till I knew this one wasnt defective. @Photoman thanks a lot for you time. and killer install bracket. Now onto the window runs. thanks @ranma21 OEM and fast shipping.

How did you mount the new/old pulley? Just shoot it on with an impact? Is that the underwrite pulley?
