I forgot, last weekend I got the HF 20 ton shop press for "black friday." Gotta get in touch with @beno before I reluctantly start on project "replace every piece of rubber under the truck" :(

It sucks but one of the most worthwhile investments. Night and day difference.

I added this little guy, flash strobe module, and hopefully reduced my risk of being rear ended a whole lot more than the $7 I spent.

Just finished installing this on the wife's Sequoia. (Maybe now people will stop rear-ending her truck? The reflective conspicuity tape seems to not be working.) Pretty spiffy little unit! Probably gonna put one on my 80 once it warms up a bit.

Also slowly getting things together for my own project "replace every piece of rubber under the truck. " Hopefully next year...

Cool...I just added it to my wife's RX350 too. Was following her earlier today and it seems to really increase visibility.

I have the tough dog 2" lift and need castor plates but not having any luck with wits end to find out which ones. Which did you go with? What was your castor before? Thanks
he has landtank castors for 2in lift and LT for 4in

Installed hammock hooks to my Inti rack.

where did you score these? And did they have a drop down version for larger trucks

took the family wagon to the 'car wash' on the Hell's Revenge trail Moab, UT

Was able to complete the whole trail unlocked with 2" lift and 33" tires. Full disclosure: I did not attempt Hell's Gate or the escalator. Didn't want to risk having to walk 7 hrs home ;)
you would have made it I did unlocked as well. these things are billy goats

sounds like an interesting endeavor. I've always wanted to do this and would expect the ride to be so much better.
It's worth every penny, my worst old radius arm bushing

What’s the word on press adapter tool these days for the axle end?

Last time I did this was in ‘09 and I borrowed an adapter, and I need to do it again because of this:

Bushing in the replacement arm is old.

In other accident recovery news, frame straightening work was completed yesterday. Here’s pre and post specs a numbers in mm. Steering wheel is straight again and axle is aligned under the body again, now on to the body pulling work.

Glad to hear the frame straightening worked out! @NLXTACY has some sweet bushing press tools for purchase.

Pretty sure I have one of these in my tools you can borrow. I will check tonight and let you know.

@Nay
I used my hub socket to remove the old ones :meh: Sanded to fit.

I need frame end - I have a Slee press tool for the axle end and have already swapped those over. Just ordered the one from @NLXTACY for the frame end, these are must haves.

That entire press tool kit is sweet - will acquire the others in good time.

3/4” impact socket set from HF also makes a great die set :).

Rear view mirror looks good.

This forum has some crazzzzy (in a skillful way, I mean) DIYers!!!! I love cars and DIYs. I started my DiYs with BMWs, then turned to woodworking (built my son a 10x10 treehouse along the way) and now I'm intending to restart the cycle on the 4X4 side. I must admit this forum is a bit intimidating on the DIY side at first, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm buying an FJ80 (either Saturday, if it passes the pre-purchase inspection, or later), cause this community is awesome. I see this forum taking me to other levels. Very inspiring things you do here!!!!
