Built a couple 4X4Labs rear bumpers. The kit went together smooth, really solid and well thought out

The LED driving lights were not working so I swapped with an old one that had a cracked reverse light. 200 degrees in the oven for about 10 minutes or so. Removed the red lenses only, then swapped out the bad LED assembly.

I also wired up my Amazon rear view camera and dash monitor. $22 for the monitor and $30 ish for the camera. Light repair was free!
I need one of those red latches, mines going south

Finally fixed my many years stripped oil pan drain plug with a Time-Sert insert. Nice kit.

Changed the oil, and wasted money again on a transmission fluid drain and refill. No matter the miles, that stuff always drains out like it’s new.

Also backed over my drain tub when I was done and exploded it on my driveway. Glad I spent the middle step of filling it.

Just dropped her off for frame repair and got good news on Friday that the other driver’s insurance is paying for the repairs. It was a good estimate ($4,200) and I’m going to do the work myself and pocket most of it.

Assuming the frame work goes well (8-10 hours on the rack @75/hour), I’m going all Depo for head and side lights, I already had a Koyo rad for radiator replacement on hand, and will work on salvaging all the body parts since they don’t have to be absolutely perfect...I hope to outlay less than $1,500 on the repairs.

Maybe use some of the extra for a post-repair Moab trip...

Mounted up some reverse lights into the tailgate since the new quarter panel armor didn't leave much room for additional lights.

They're a little bright. Waiting on LED flasher relay to fix the hyperblink.

Bit of last week and a bit of this week...new ToughDog suspension from @reevesci installed lasted weekend and the caster plates installed this weekend. I told the wife the plates would take me a couple of hours...maybe 8 hours later I finished. There are no shortage of lessons to be had doing this for the first time. Now even my 10 year old daughter can explain the basics of "Caster"... Off to @cruisermatt later to get the seams welded..

I have the tough dog 2" lift and need castor plates but not having any luck with wits end to find out which ones. Which did you go with? What was your castor before? Thanks

I'm just trying to point the obvious here.
You are not having any luck with wits end on which plates you need for your 2" lift?

You only have 2 choices. 2.5" and 4" plates.

Should I go on?

I guess I should add more detail to the pages.

For 2”-3” of lift go with the 2.5 plates.
For 3.5”-4.5” of lift go with the 4.0 plates.

I find that cinder blocks work great as an additional lift for the 6 ton stands, I put a piece of 1/8" checker plate between the blocks and the stands. I use the checker plate anytime I use the stands, I'm either working on gravel or asphalt, mostly asphalt. When it's warm out I can watch the stands sink into the tar and leave divots.

Friday took my girl friend and the dogs to pole hill to relax for a bit.

Then Saturday we got out with the local tlca group and ran bunce school rode and went up T33 to see the plane crash. Took Pollys 1st gen 4runner instead of the 80 and wheeling open open makes things really interesting and fun compared to the 80

I really like JDM window vents. They are on my wish list. Had them on my 70 Series and thought they were so cool.
