@Nay Yes, they are adjustable, but your'e probably too early in the pulling process to start adjusting the hood hinges. Use the hood as a guide to get the core support back in place first. Also, remember to measure diagonally across the the engine bay from the rear fender bolt of one side to the front bolt of the other side. That will tell you how close you are to being square. Getting is square should be the first goal

Agreed - I’ll probably need to take you up on the offer for your expertise. Made some good progress today, but where the core seems off a bit is all the same movement with the entire fender assembly rolled outwards and slightly down. It’s not much, and it doesn’t need to be perfect, but it seems to need pull from multiple points simultaneously.

Body mounts over the frame look good after the frame alignment, but definitely still more to do at the core alignment level. It is fun working on it, though - has already become a “will succeed” project.

Additional parts bin pulling objects have been deployed.

Speaking of Bowfin Racks... ;)

I got the solar panel nestled down below the crossbar level so I can still use the full rack when needed. Next up is L-track runners down the sides for tie-down points.

Additionally - found out the rack runs through the auto carwash just fine. The operator looked at it for a bit, shrugged, and let it through. Worked out fine.

Great mounting method. How did you do that? More pics of mount?

This forum has some crazzzzy (in a skillful way, I mean) DIYers!!!! I love cars and DIYs. I started my DiYs with BMWs, then turned to woodworking (built my son a 10x10 treehouse along the way) and now I'm intending to restart the cycle on the 4X4 side. I must admit this forum is a bit intimidating on the DIY side at first, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm buying an FJ80 (either Saturday, if it passes the pre-purchase inspection, or later), cause this community is awesome. I see this forum taking me to other levels. Very inspiring things you do here!!!!
Amazing, isn't it? I've been posting on various automotive forums for almost 20 years and I only discovered mud in 2015. The level of detail, and collective knowledge here is unmatched. Literally everything that can be done to a TLC has been done and well documented here. Most of the vendors not only get along, but they'll help each other out. That's vary rare nowadays.

Yeah, it’s crazy. Routinely I see/hear vendors referring people to their “competitor” because it’s a better fit or whatever. It’s pretty cool.

I thought I could make it (through the trees you can see the gas station...) one of these days I’ll pull the dash and replace my low fuel bulb...

Nice work on the solar panel, looks great. I think the car wash would peel the whole roof off before that rack comes off of there! I guess they don't want the brushes getting caught on things.

I had seriously considered putting L-track on there but some of the d-ring mounts look weak and I didn't want someone losing cargo because of it. Doing it yourself at least lets you choose what is right for your own uses.

Looking good!

3 or 4 years ago I bought the plastic parts to fix the front seats so they would move forwards/backwards but I never got around to putting them in. Lost and then found them many many times of those years and even managed to move 1800 miles and still found them.
Put them in and fixed my seats.....finally.

I'll give you the :banana: for having the guts to go for it. It'll be great.
