A buddy of mine was working under the hood and connected +'ve on a tool in his hand with -'ve on his gold wedding ring. He melted the ring into his finger.

Dr said he was lucky it was gold, they can cut that off and save the finger. If it had been titanium (popular for wedding rings in the US these days) they would have had to take his finger off.

I no longer wear my wedding ring when wrenching.

Yes electricity and wedding rings dont mix ask any electrician.

Below me doing an off road welding demo for our club using a battery.

Apparently you didn’t include safety as part of your demonstration. :hillbilly:

I hear ya but i see too many people leading boaring safe life and die.
I prefer to come in fast sliding sideways jumping off yelling holy s*** what a ride. And because of that i have some fantastic stories to take to my grave.:)

Sarcasm is free around here Phil. I’ve endured a few self inflicted sunburns myself.

New one showed up with a bumblebee on its butt. I rather of had my 1000$ truck over that bolt on Heep. Had all the bells and whistles...I just don't get it.. even the driver agreed...pos.

Been busy with work after vacation so I haven’t gotten to do anything with my 80s. Well, two weekends ago my son and I were in my 93 going to Illinois for his last baseball tournament of the year. We were running a little late so I was giving her all she got. 85 in a 65. I tried arguing that “officer, she is a tractor with windows” but he didn’t buy it. And didn’t lower the ticket either! Damn you Missouri!

I plan to argue the “tractor with windows” when I go to court. I’m going to see if I can FaceTime an expert aka @cruiserdan to swear under oath about its gutless motor and why he had to put in a supercharger. Or maybe @scottryana will explain some technical reasoning for it being underpowered and thus his need for custom turbo.

Stay by your phones guys!

And yes, it was downhill with a HUGE tailwind.

Should have been in the 3FE. Then the "I was just getting speed to make it up the next hill without holding up traffic" excuse surely would have worked.

My 3FE is quicker and faster than my tired a$$ 1FZ-FE!

I told him there was no way I was going 85 but he didn’t believe me. Part of me was all “man! This dude thinks I have a fast rig!” The other part of me was “dude obviously doesn’t know sh!t!”

At 20 MPH over, that had to be expensive. But it is MO. Iowa and Kansas are both higher. BTDT.

I've had my 96 over 100 and that's without a tail wind, and not on a trailer.

Drove my truck to work and then to the trails. I hadn't been on real trails in a long time and it felt great. I wish I could say the same for the Cruiser. Throttle position sensor is bad. I've got to wait till Tuesday to get the replacement.

Did you go up to URE? Call Heath sometime, and maybe we could meet you. Still looks good.

Life hack, divorce is cheaper than losing a finger in many cases.

Also I am enjoying my Shortbus. Does anyone take any measure preventing theft of bumpers? Didn’t want to weld the bolts to the new powder coat.

There are ways to secure the bumper without welding on the power coat. Weld a nut onto a bolt, weld a piece of metal to a bolt in a confined spot that does not provide space for the bolt to turn, or weld a piece to the frame that covers the bolt so the bolt can't be pulled out. You only need one bolt that can't be removed. You can Google "security bolt" for a lot of options.
