Ordered a replacement Engine for the Junk I swapped into my cruiser LOL. If its worth doing, Do it twice.

Finally got around to swapping out my o2 sensor that I couldn't get to with out pulling the cat off. The other o2 sensor was a breeze. In the end I got these two treasures. 250k and there was still some metal left. Shocked!

That's one heck of an alternator upgrade! Should boost the headlight output a bit. Won't have trouble running your radio either. I'm guessing it set you back a few dollars more than a mean green alternator. Build thread?

No build thread.... I never think to take pics or really document much lol..... just dive in! Besides, the Gen III into an 80 has become almost a walk in the park. I'll probably share a bit in the V8 80 swap sticky though.

I'm definitely enjoying your build. Thanks for posting it.

random question... anyone know at what point the low oil light comes on, and how much I should add when it does?

It comes on when you're already way too low. You should add enough to bring the oil level back to "full" on the dipstick.

Mine comes on when I'm exactly 1.5qt. low.

This was two weekends ago. Just haven't had a chance to post any here. I've been prerunning routes for the 4xOverlandUSA Southwest Adventure 2017. Found some really cool areas that I think will be great. Need to make some tweaks to the route in a few sections and then go prerun again. For those interested this trip starts the weekend before Cruise Moab next spring. If you want to see some pics from the 2016 trip you can see it here. 4xOverlandUSA - Southwest Adventure 2017

Ran up to Tin Cup Pass from the St. Elmo side to see a section of the Continental Divide I previously hadn't. It was cold and windy but the truck did awesome.

Ok so we did you
Having seen several vehicles burn to the ground including one of my own it happens fast and there not much time to get anything out because once things start exploding Im out of there.
Yea it was a crazy story, all stemming from ( i believe) faulty fume charcoal type tank? does that sound right, then fuel tank, jerries and finally co2 went up scary stuff I carry 2 fire extinguishers and am hyper vigilant on wores and rubbing etc.

Do yourself a favor and carry cable cutter along with your 2 fire extinguisher, they will do little to nothing if the fire is electrical you need to kill the source.
