Dropped off my 93 to my buddy's shop. Getting a grinding sound when slowing down. Front pads only have 6 months and 25kish on them. Don't have time to dig in to it. I leave for vacation in 10 days. So I'm stretching the legs on the ol' 92!

Wonder what the grinding could be... low pitch. Seems to get louder with braking. Don't notice it when accelerating or at speed.

On this day yet another 1FZ completed the recommended break in period

Does it help to take that bolt OUT?

Hey, you don't know till you try. I have tried. It doesn't :D

Awfully extreme weight reduction. I think you could better ways to shave some weight...

If you worry about the ounces, the pounds take care of themselves :hillbilly:

One week before the fall crawl and I decided to wash and wax it. One step of clay, two of polish and two of wax later, its lookin' good!

Next is to clean the inside before it comes out of the garage for too long.

Eventually, it'll get fluid film before the salt hits.

What is this wax you speak of?

It's the Meguiar's Ultimate Paste. Game time decision at Advanced Auto after reading up on a bunch of different waxes. All the scratches and battle scars are still there but from 5 feet, it looks better than the BMW in the reflection.

The polish I used was some Turtle Wax Ice Polish I've had for years.

Sorry. I was being sarcastic. I think my 92 had wax on it when I picked it up from the dealer...

I was waiting for UPS to deliver my brake rotors. Well they pulled up. Then they left. Box wasn't on the truck.

So they're going back to get them. Oh well, there's yardwork to do.

:bang:

Nothing. See above.

Tuesday now.

:bang:

Whoa. Finally.

Rolling again. Need to bleed/adjust/etc. but anyway...

Apparently the lgbtlcpafuwtf valve whatever had never been bled ...

Still hitting the sierra sometime this weekend goddamit.

Interesting stuff I found out... if you mess up that wacky hub nut lock screw, just make your own.
I learned why my parking brake wasn't working.
Well greased brakes don't work that well at all.
