Put in new lift gate supports from Lift Supports Depot.com. Bought the stock height Strong Arm so I didn't have to worry about driveline vibrations and such. Didn't go OEM so I also expect the value of my rig dropped by about 50%.

New were a tad shorter but haven't noticed a difference in the liftgate height when fully open. Also, one end is shiny vice painted black. Extra bling to be buffed to a high sheen on the weekends.

OBTW, tool at the bottom is money at retrieving the bolt that fell into your Labs bumper because you suck at the most basic of Cruiser R&R maintenance. LED light and all, knew that was a genius buy!

Dad put the LX to use over the weekend to bring the black sheep home! Took him a while but the LX handled the weight pretty well.

Very impressed with all of the uplanding you guys get access to. We just have a ton of rough and gravel roads. No real trails to speak of. I just got the whole map of the Chequamegon National Forest which has all the roads marked out.

My rig is ready for the adventure. I will post pics of the trails as they become available. I am driving the Gunflint Trai, which is a historic access road into the BWCAW in May. It won't be a chlenge, but bringing everything along will be. I imagine at least two, if not three, canoes will be on the rack and I'll have a lot of cargo.

I love the Chequemagon...kinda grew up around there and still go there often. The best forest roads are north of HWY 2. I will be camping up there in a couple weeks after I get back from Thailand.

I finally wrapped up my Wits' End on board air project last night. There are more details in @NLXTACY 's threads on the topic but in a nutshell:
- the York draws from the former PAIR valve fitting on the air box
- Coalescing filter is mounted to the cruise control cable bracket
- Hose lengths allow full movement of the air box lid for filter changes
- Viair tank from Joey uses standard MetalTech slider mount location under driver's seat
- Air outlet is hard mounted on my Henna rack under the driver's side sliding window for clean, easy access

The manifold/gauge/switch mounting plate is still raw steel because Joey was cool enough to ship one to me with enough shade-tree-mechanic time to get it all working for Cruise Moab. Success!
