That's my favorite hack it up design yet! The 40 head light bezel is awesome as well as the bling wing that you kept on the rear hatch. How have the axles stood up those meats? I am in the process of stripping my 94 that I rolled a year ago. I have replaced it but something inside me wants to chop the roof and front clip that's smashed and go to town with a tube bender. It would be a good experimental rig as far as doing suspension mods a so forth.

Prepping the cured Monstaliner is just like prepping paint. After sanding with 80 grit to smooth it out and scruffing with scotch brite to reach into the tiny crevaces, I washed it down with cotton rags soaked with acetone two times over.
My tint is a combo of about 40% Toyota 045 white and 60% Toyota 040 super white. It's brighter than before but not as pure white as the "super White". It will have to due. The pic showing masking tape is after prep but before the repaint.

It looks good to me. What springs are you running? 5" comps up front, 4" Med Slee rear?
@warezdog I did get it on the driveway and on the tires and on my boots! It's stuck hard as hell to the tires (should have covers them) but I'm sure that Rubicon will wear it off.
@bahaphile, yes 4" Slee heavy progressives rear and OME comp 5" front. I buy springs used just to experiment for half price. As you can see even with the 5" up front there is still stink bug. It levels out pretty good once the rear bumper and sliders are installed.

So far I haven't had any issues with the axles. I figure a combination of an easy foot and all the weight I she'd from chopping has made a big difference. As I add armor and gear to her I may start to find those weak links.

The rear Slee's are 4' HD progressive and fronts are 5' comps. They seem to be a good match when the bumpers and sliders are installed and perhaps a little anti-stink bug when loaded for a trip.

Dang! That's awesome! Not sure what our trip plans are now. The guy that was taking us out on Clear Lake and Lake Beryessa in NorCal flaked on us tonight. So in a bit of a scramble mode. Definitely loading up the 2 man shanty on the roof and bringing it. I have a feeling we may be doing more ice fishing than regular fishing. But who knows...
I guess word travels quickly! I haven't gone to check it out yet. I'm pretty much over air planes at this point. They are just a pay check.

I've been fighting issues with my winch for a couple months. Evidently, the control pack on my Warn Zeon Platinum 12S, which is designed to be remote-mounted, wasn't terribly happy in the passenger side wing of my ARB. After a few wheeling trips, the rocker switch that turns on the controls and pairs to the wireless remote wouldn't stay in the "on" position due to dirt & dust collecting around the rubber boot. Since it was tucked up inside the bumper, accessibility was a huge PITA.
Warn customer service has been hugely helpful in my diagnosing things -- in spite of the fact that a lot of my troubles are probably due to a crapped-out "house" battery only putting out 4v. Once I discovered that, a lot of issues were solved (trailer battery not charging, LED strip on rear tailgate not working, inverter not working). Good grief. I'm such a dumbass sometimes.
Since there's no room under the hood to mount the control pack, I decided to put it on the passenger side kick panel. I ran all new cable, tucked and tidied up as best I could, and the winch works great! Now I am ready for the New Years STLCA ride to Coppinger's Cove.

Installed the complimentary Deka Platinum Group 27 battery in the 92. HUGE improvement over the 4-5 year old Optima Red Top. Cranks faster and appears to run smoother.
My wife even said something about noticing the difference!
It fit perfectly but did have to notch on each side of the battery itself for the hold down j bolts. No big deal. Took 30 secs.

Another AGM to flooded convert.
Cleaning the upper plenum EGR ports is tedious. I wish I had taken a photo, but I suspect this has contributed to or been the cause of my code 71. I'd say >80% restricted at the plenum. I'll test the EGR VSV which just to confirm. Everything else has less than 40K and tests out. I do have a new VSV to install.
If I'd known it was this much of a PITA, I'd have just dropped it off at a machine shop to be tanked.
