Early start to wkend/holiday vacation. Changed belts from crap aftermarket to OEM. Soooo much quieter. And no more embarrassing squeal on startup. Gotta love OEM.
Noticed an oil spot on the driveway that's larger than usual. Hard to tell where it is coming from with all the oil and grime. So I drenched the engine with power purple, got it to temp and rinsed her down. I'll check her out tomorrow to see where all the oil is leaking from. I hope it's a simple fix!!

Everyday is a vacation for me!
Even when I'm at work because driving in a high clearance OHV all day or a Polaris 1000cc UTV feels like vacation everyday! Id be snowmobiling currently but I'm terrified of breaking my arm again before I restart my pine-swine training!
@LS1FJ40 So I am probably not going to get around to making an "official" post about snow wheeling with the CVT tent. I do however give it 9/10 stars for camping. this was my first trip with it ever since it came with the truck. For warmth it was easily 10 degrees warmer in the tent than outside. I just ran a 25 degree bag with a long sleeve thermal shirt. I had a second regular bag just in case it got super cold and a down blanket which roasted me out. Only complaint was having to keep the windows open for circulation to reduce condensation inside. I also didn't have light. its a pain to put away in the snow but still only took 30 minutes tops I think. overall, best purchase ever. It is really dang up there with the set up 80 series since my truck is really tall.
Biggest complaint is I almost fell off my ladder when I had to tinkle at 3am and was mostly not clothed and barefoot. I may or may not have been drinking with the Pryor clan before this haha

You need to get a pee nalgene or a crash helmet. Or both.

Had a decent and getting worse vibration from about 30-45mph, so I figured it was the u-joints and it definitely looked like the rear one in the front driveshaft was bad. Fought both of them and finally got them free after making a mess of things. Had to sand down some high spots to get the new ones in and actually tweaked one of the yokes so the new one barely fit. I'm dreading doing the rear shaft now. This is the 2nd vehicle I've done u-joints on this year and they were both a royal pain. You guys that can change them on the trail with a hammer and socket are either really gifted or just lucky you don't live in the rust belt.
Rant over, vibration is gone and I'm not touching the rear shaft until it's warm out again, or I get some better tools lol

Do I need to remove the trailer hitch?
Finally got around to putting together the prinsu rack from this summer. Thankfully my stock rack came off with absolutely no problem. Mine only had screws rather than the long bolts I have seen on others. Plan to throw it up on the roof this afternoon.

Pretty sure you do. I removed mine before even trying it and it was tight.i also have the tire level kit from wit's end.

A friend of mine got a Heep for Christmas from her husband. She sent me a pic of her standing in front of it. And said "Now I can go off roading with you!" I sent a pic of my new tow straps I bought and said "Yep! I can pull you out!"

Because sane people leave on 5000 mile trips prepared. Sure the belts and hoses are only a few thousand miles old. YOU NEVER KNOW!
And this is just part of it. Thanks to @NLXTACY I am afraid of shearing off all of my wheel studs. So I have spares. Thanks to a couple others I have spare knuckle studs (need to take half out because I have two sets with nuts, flat, and cone washers).
Plus other spare parts (relays, fusible links, fuses, bulbs, etc) and fluids. I think I'm set!

The tentative plan is to make it up there. Around the 1st of the year. I'll let you know for sure.
