Went half way into the knuckle to re-torque the wheel bearings. One side looked good with lots of red grease still poking out around everything, the other however looked a little soupy.

Does it look to you guys that I have a rebuild in order? Ive also greased the knuckles, via the inspection hole, with black colored grease. Thought it might have just been this grease making its way through, but it felt way more soupy on the DS than the PS.

I also picked up a badlands 12k and started modifying it right out of the box.
Cut and welded the "engage lever" to make it low profile. Going to remote mount the relay box to protect it and to clean up the winch area. I'll run the original relays until they fail then I replace them with better ones. Oh and rattle canned it camo tan, don't like new shiny stuff on the outside of my rig.

How well did that clutch lever weld? I've been wanting to make an extension of sorts, for use with my hidden winch mount--but I have been afraid of cutting the lever in case it doesn't weld well. :)

Edit: mine is not a Badlands, but it's another China winch so I assume it's the same.

The piece seemed to weld fine but the screw that keeps and limits rotation started stripping from putting it in and out as I worked on it.

Do you work for Deka? He was trying to get me to take an AGM but I told him I want two for my 93 with dual batts. :D The 92 is getting light duty/garage duty for the time being. Although she is out playing in the snow today!

I'm at O'Reilly. I'll be running our AGM as soon as my deep cycle gives up.

Where's the snow pics??

Did the cdl mod, was easy but it acted wierd at first.
Followed it by doing the 7 pin mod then took it to play on some piles of concrete, asphalt and junk. My urban rock garden isn't for everybody but I'm feeling invincible with the XML 325s and how they SEEM to be bullet proof.

To cool... I can't wait till you get you camera angle situated or was that the funny thing that your rig is so low COG that you can climb vertical & side ways???

Man, I should be hitting up the O'Reilly's instead of VatoZone. It's a little inconvenient from me. I wouldn't listen to @jtwopark but I'll support you.

I got started on this. Made one of the cup holder bigger for those days I need a super big gulp....

I abandoned her at the airport yet again. It's a busy time of the year at the moment so should normalize in the new year. I still felt guilty so did some mile high shopping. I ended up with a new ARB front bumper off Amazon and paid for with Amex points. :flipoff2:
Now i just need to find. Gift for the other "her" in my life....

Let me put that in a different perspective to you.

Yeah, I should go to Lowes instead of HD, but that's really inconvenient for me. :flipoff2:

I said I'm going to. I wouldn't before when @jtwopark told me I shouldn't go to VatoZone but now that I know @malteserunner works for O'Reilly I will. :flipoff2:

I spent the evening driving around, pulling three people out of ditches, jump starting a couple, and helped out a girl that ran out of gas.

Then drove to the Lowe's I work at and used my blower to blow the snow off of all of the employees cars before they got off work so they didn't have to.

And mocked this punk a$$ Heep as I passed him. He was afraid of a little snow.

No pictures outside my 80 because it's -21 with windchill. AKA "Cold as fawk!"

Can I recommend decaf?

This was after I worked 12 hrs and snow blowed my driveway and both neighbors driveways. Sleep is the second cousin of death!

-21 degrees??? I can't even imagine....I was just complaing about our little cold snap here dipping into the mid seventies, and that I couldn't wait for winter to be over!

I think the consensus on MUD is that we can't wait for winter in Hawaii to be over either. ;)
