Thanks to @LandCruiserPhil I Replaced the #1 & #2 knock sensors. Not a horrible job. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Spent more time getting the broken tab out of the harness than I did removing both of them. Managed to get it free without breaking either clip! Holy crap!!

Took the 80 over to Berrima Diesel yesterday morning.

Pulled a measly 68rwkw and came out with 113rwkw. Turbo is very loud now, probably a bit too loud for my liking...cruising back home on the freeway, it was louder than the 35" Muddies!

I also spent Saturday morning on the rollers, baselining the Gturbo. Then spent Sunday smashing a concrete bench and brick barbie to pieces to fit the new one I got for a good price since the owner was leaving town  Gave the new cordless rotary hammer a flogging :) Two trailer loads of rubble to the dump was enough for the day, but the 80 loves a bit of load behind it :D Cleanup a bit more today and pour a little slab to fit the other cabinet on

Who here still has to turn around for one last look before they walk away from their 80?
Is that what they call "The Addiction"?

Does look good. Do you happen to know the distance from the centre of those hubs to the top of the wheel arch?

Out of all the tailgate storage options that is by far my favorite design. Looks great.

I'm looking forward to putting mine in. Any tips or tricks?

I can't wait until I have the funds to get one. Looks phenomenal! Wish I was picking one up on my trip. Just not in the cards right now.

I guess I will be the official Australian translator here:

Haha. I'm trying to plan out as much as possible before a final decision

Got the AC Delco 215/153 charcoal canister installed. Amazon delivered on a Sunday, ordered a couple hrs ago. Wtf. Amaze balls.

I used one of the existing clamp bracket to install.

I removed both clamp brackets from the upright pillar via the two flange nuts. Then left the lower clamp on the OE canister and put the upper clamp on the new one. Because of the larger diameter, you need to use a longer bolt in the clamp.

Note slotted head bolt, its approx a 3" x 5/16, (holy crap not metric) allowed me to get a stubby on it to fine tune angle and retighten, the nut is a wide square nut that didn't require a wrench, just spare hardware I had lying around. (you could use whatever you've got lying around too) Boom.

Due to clearance with the fuse box, you have install clamp on the cc first, then bend the pillar about 2mm out of the way (used vise grips to bend it) to get the two studs on the clamp back in their holes on the pillar.

(in retrospect, pulling the battery box would be the way i'd approach it next time. way more room, less faffing about trying to wedge it in there)

I cut one of my lines is a little short. So had to rotate unit to compensate.

Pic below: Old one with lower clamp still on it.

Pretty straightforward. Had to grind down a small portion of the tailgate as the latches wouldn't fully close. (@reevesci actaully told me this would be the case) Only took 10 minutes with a dremmel. Now it closes smooth as silk.

Feels like the tailgate latch is rubbing slightly as well. So I'm going to fiddle with it sometime this week when I have some time.

Other than that it was super easy. I'll add a few more pics to my build thread showing a some of the process.

Still stuck in the dark ages is what I call it :p Of all the countries in the world, only three backwaters still use the archaic Imperial system of weights and measures: Liberia. Myanmar (a.k.a. “the country formerly known as Burma”) & the United States of America.
