Mike, not sure if I’ve seen a pic of your truck in the past, but man it is nice looking. Curious if it ever had the flares. Also, I need to find a set of those wheels. Unfortunately there are not a lot of them floating around the lower 48.
Thanks Jimmy! Yes it had the flares and running boards but I removed them with a windows-out paint before I brought it over from the Canary Islands. Still trying to find that missing bumper mount for you. I have seen a couple of sets of these wheels but they are definitely rare.

No problem Mike. Can’t recall if we talked about your flares, but if you still have them and interested in selling, keep me in mind.

Alright, who doesn't love some HJ61 porn? Back in August, Jake Smith at A Rusted Development in Heber, UT let me borrow Zero, his shop 100 Series, to go run the White Rim Trail in Moab. He was working on the manual swap in our FJ62, and offered it up so we could still make the trip. My buddy @Knowbuddy brought his gorgeous 61, and that thing kicked trash. Grab some napkins, because you're gonna be drooling when you hear that 12HT working.

Baby got a new pair of shoes.
Went 31x10.5 on stock height suspension and stock rims......mostly to offset the low gear ratios of the recently installed H55F.
love the look and the gearing//shift points are much much much better now.

Just finished an hour and a half freeway trip.
This set up of 31x10.5 with the H55F is perfect. Responsive with longer runs between gears, highway onramps are a breeze.

The BFG KO2s are quieter than I feared. Un-noticeable at lower speeds with some tread noise arriving around 70mph. Not a bad sound or high pitch whine...more of a bass sound of a freight train in the distance.

Highly recommend 👍

I started running some variant of the BFG A/T's back in the late 90's when a Toyota 4WD pickup I had came with them when I bought it (which, funny enough, was being sold by a guy who had just purchased an FJ60 and didn't need both):

They have been my goto tire on every truck I have owned ever since.

Wish they still made the 33X9.50 size for them but otherwise I have always been happy with how they run/sound. My only complaint is I don't typically get just a ton of miles out of them, but good enough. To me they offer the perfect balance of off and on road performance. The Escape Wagon looks great man. Congrats on all your recent accomplishments with it. Good stuff.

Thanks @Gretsch
Happy with how it turned out and it was a great distraction throughout COVID lockdown.
My wife, bank account and brain have asked for a small pause in future upgrades 😀

As far as I know, they have been on there for quite some time. The paint is not original, but it is very old. It was likely a custom job at some point…

I have finished up the LED Update and Conversion officially making these 6 little UNICORNS Part # 84160-90A02-R

Next up i am pondering the Idea of a Service Spec. Connector Pigtail Harness with Kustom Color Coded tracer stripe wires since now both

the interior illumination Circuit and the Active ON one are both Need to be polarized ... 🤔

i think asking for or requiring a CORE trade in exchange might be a reality , in this case i only have a hand full of the standard Heavy Duty POush button Defrost Switch Donor's remaining as this batch is already spoken for ....

my my my , its 2021 and 84160-90A02-R is coming back ALIVE ! 🦄

Took it out snow-wheeling on the "Fallen Peace Officer's Trail". Not a lot of snow, but I am impressed with how well the 60 did with the Cooper Discovery SST's. It walked up places I would have had trouble with boots. The tracks we followed were from UTV's. Great trail for 60's if you are in the area, mostly 2nd low with a few Granny sections. I didn't photo the sketchy places, sorry.

No picks to share but tomorrow I am prolly going to install my new yellow top Optima that I got for Christmas. The big gift will be here on the 6th of this month. My wife insisted I go ahead and order my rear bumper I have had my eyes on. I will be busy removing the stock bumper and installing my new Dobinsons. Can't wait!!!😃

I’m in for a full set of what you come up with. Those look darn good.

well here is a first small production run batch of qty x 6

i have designed a Service Soec. OEM Themed Pigtail as follows :

- Blue w / Oarnge Tracer : B+ incoming from a Fused Source ( such as a UN-used Tap assy. in the fuse panel )

- Blue w/ white Tracer : Switched B+ Fused Out to Device such as a FOG or AUX Lamp or Ditch Lights etc ....

- This Depression Mode in or engaged also taps and illuminates the AMBER ON or Active device ON mini horizontal Bar

- the white w/ Black tracer is the main general switch Ground side circuit

- now the VERY important detail to take note of : this switch has a independent interior illumination circuit that gets tied in to your dash , HVAC panel and other display lamps and lights that get active with both parking lamps and headlights engaged alike.........

- i DO NOT recommend tieing in to the Rheostat dimmer side of interior illumination , but that's the owner operator 's installers call ...and just my 2 cents ......

- the red w/ black tracer stripe is B+ feed in interior illumination

- the Solid Yellow is the needed independent ground NEG- of the interior illumination circut

DO NOT cheat and try to tie in both grounds the easy way \

- i think dome fj60 devices are controlled by the NEG_ side ground , but if you follow my above prescribed install spec's you will have NO issues

and NO issues is good ..........for 2021

-

photos do not due the justice , the LED's Lumens have a warm welcoming rich glow crisp and sharp .....just like 84160-90A02 had so long ago
