After fiddling with the front half of the exhaust so much I took it in for a custom stainless y-pipe and tailpipe using a Walker 21423 quiet flow SS muffler. I’m really happy with the results and it was great work for the price. Should have done it a lot sooner!

Luckily the exhaust was the only questionable work that the previous owner had done.

@NearJetties how does that Walker muffler sound? Is it actually quiet? I have a walker still sitting new in a box that's a different part # waiting to go on. There is a Magnaflow under my 62 that I can't stand, too loud.

I wanted OEM level quiet and I’m super happy with it

One of the quotes posts is wrong, 21424 is the correct part number

More progress on paint restoration and finally installing new parts. Very happy with how it’s coming together.

If it's not too hot..
windex lots of it...
that's how mine came off

I've removed tint on a lot of vehicles. Steamer is hands down the cleanest easiest removal method. Don't waste your money on the "removal spray" from your big box autoparts stores.

As @Skniper mentioned, just hope on Amazon and order a small cheap laundry Steamer. I have an old Iron/Steamer combo that is my weapon of choice.

I changed the transmission fluid and filter, changed the Transfer case fluid and checked both diffs. All OK and no leaks. Also changed out the 30 year old PCV valve and grommet. That grommet gave a pretty good fight. Then I went out and found a little off road area to test out the 4WD. Hi and Lo both work great. Even found a little mud.

incredible weekend building rear bumper with @POTATO LAUNCHER for my 62. The rear is complete and our focus has shifted to the front winch. We think we have the design, just need recommendations of synthetic rope or 3/8" steel cable.
