So I'm getting some things straightened out, I will let the photos do some of the talking...

1. A piece of a CACTUS I found jammed up in the drive train!

2. Need a new fender, also restore axles.

3. This WAS a brake pad...gone and worn into the metal.

4. Compared to what it use to look like!

5. Front end all laid out.

i took my family to our cabin for some winter fun. snow was minimal so i thought i'd try driving out. there are no roads to it so we snowmobile in winter and boat in summer. this was the first time a vehicle had ever been parked outside!! there is a 5 km ice road and then about 1/2 km of off trail through the snow driving. it went quite well

Have a great rest of your weekend!!

quite the contrast of worlds. i love the photos you're sharing of your island. we love coming there to explore too but couldn't make it this year. to bad i've only been able to go where rental
mini vans can go. i bet there are some pretty terrific places only locals can get to!!

Pulled the Kaymar rear bumper off, and prepped frame members for the soon to be, new Trail Tailor bumper from @reevesci

I spent soooo many weekends working on the 60, now it's time to share the fruits of my labor. We did about a 100 miles today in the Eastern Sierras. We went from snow, to the valley floor, back to snow.:)

New condensor, new evaporator core and expansion valve and cleaned the box and insulated it with new closed cell foam. And replaced all the system o-rings.

And I started the rear 1/4 chop.

Installed one side on the rear cargo area....
Thanks again Jason..!!

Install was simple enough, if it was not for those nutserts...
Good thing is that the hardware provided was metric..just like the nutserts...

Thanks for posting pics of that area @2mountainfish. My grandparents retired to Aspendell in the early 70's and I used to drive their AMC MightyMite back into the ButterMilk as a kid. Awesome memories in your neck of the woods.

Thanks @red66toy

It's not a perfect match, but I dig it....
I decided to do without all the plastic covers and just have the blue metal where ever I can......

We started out in the Buttermilk, down to Horton Creek, then went over to the Owens Gorge and back to the Buttermilk. I have lived here for 10 years and still haven't even come close to seeing it all.

My grandfather was an engineer at Lockheed Skunkworks. Had a month's vacation every year. My grandfather, grandmother and 5 kids would use pack burrows and pack for three weeks at a time up in eastern slope of the Sierra back in the 50's.
He passed some years ago and I haven't been back in at least 10 years now. Did get to catch a nice trout using his tackle and rod when I was there. Great place to be man.

Built a new Battery tray. The old one was a little rusty

I asked my buddy to build be a battery tray and expected something like what you have

Instead I got a tank

I could definitely use it for a weapon in a pinch

I also installed my waterpump, thermostat, and fuel filter. Broke my rear wiper arm

Waiting on new coolant lines and a Ps pump so I can't drive it again
