Finally got around to making my rear tire swing out. So much for not carrying a spare anymore

What kind of a pivot setup are you using? Looks different.

Custom. just some stuff laying around the farm. Old greasable pin and some old eyelets off the tractor welded to 3 inch square tube

I'm all about re-purposing and using what you got. You gotta figure something off a tractor implement
would be robust enough for a tire swing out.

Took a day trip out to the desert with some buddies.

Successfully avoided getting stuck in the sand with @bushdoctor at Superstition Mountain

This is the first time I've seen a stock radio. Looks nice.

Kind of awesome with the cassette tape! Is that for real or just a prop?

Just a prop as it isn't wired up anymore. (Huey Lewis / Fore!) in case anyone is curious. If that doesn't ward away theft then...

Not 100% certain it is factory but certainly period correct. It did bolt right up to the factory triangle supports though.

Awesome photo. And I need to carry ratchet straps.

Yeah same here.... and some bailing wire and heavy dykes. Bailing wire already saved my butt once.

Update. Called ARB/OME and talked to Brian in Tech. As I posted elsewhere, and someone mentioned here, The Plus and Minus mean nothing of import to us. The front springs are the same. The rear springs are A & B, A going on the *Passenger Side.* This holds regardless of right or left hand drive. Checked mine and as expected the A spring was on the driver's side. Switched it today and no more perceptible lean. Yay!
Where Can I find the A or B on the rear springs?? I installed a heavy kit this weekend and while I don't notice any lean I want to double check.

On a weekend road trip in college we were in my friend's AMC 550 sedan heading over the mountains when the engine died. One of the things we checked was the distributor. It turns out the rotor had snapped in two. One item in the glove compartment, next to the baling wire, was a roll of electrical tape. A few wraps of tape and we were on the road again, heading to our destination. We got so busy visiting friends over the weekend that we forgot to buy a new rotor before heading back. Not to worry, we drove back about 175 miles with the rotor still taped up and the car running fine.
