Finally swapped all my suspension from my 4Runner I sold to the GX and my Yakima cross bars. Only took a few hours to swap out everything. Forgot to take measurements too :/ Ride is 10x better and I don't bottom out on big dips that I usually do anymore.

-Bilstein 5100 all around
-OME 883 fronts and 895e rear springs
-Metaltech rear coil conversion kit
-FJ coil bump stop inserts

So far all my suspension and a front hitch from my 4Runner has swapped over. Glad I kept it all.

Had some help today too.

Spent $572 on a broken sun roof that was stuck open. That was just to get it closed. Now i can't use it period. Awesome day.

They don't install emergency cranks anymore? Trying to remember if my 80 had a crank to shut it or not? Probably forgot when it fell on my head when I parted it out. :?

Nope. Had to drop the entire headliner. It was off track on the back left side. 3 techs pulling on it couldn't get it closed so we finally took the whole headliner out. It's sealed now but doesn't work. So pissed about it

Just bad luck most likely. Never really got used at all so I'm not sure. It's starting to rattle now and it's super annoying

New Dick Cepeks and running boards removed

Had my Stubbs Sliders installed. Had a difficult time to find a welder to install it besides a body shop. I thought any muffler shop could do it but everyone said no. Found a shop that will but install fee cost more than
than sliders itself

Did the install of my OPOR sliders yesterday. Will be doing a write up on this since directions could be better and hardware is confusing but I think I have it figured out.
Need to modify two holes on the slider mounting plates one didn't line up with the stock hole on the bottom of the frame and the other I messed up and drilled lined up on the wrong side of the hole.
I will try to get a write-up with photos up this week until then the sliders will be going off to paint.

I drove over a local easy trail that had some serious wash out action. Was fun (aside from the 3" rock that stopped me for a second):

Finished up a 4,000 mile road trip hauling a pop-up and canoe from Cedar Rapids, IA to Acadia and back. We camped at Niagara Falls, the Adirondacks, White Mountains in NH, Acadia, Cape Cod and then hauled back home with one hotel stay in Youngstown OH. Swank Tank was great. Did fine pulling a way overloaded pop-up with Yakima Skybox 21 on its roof. Even with 4 kids we had plenty of room with most stuff in the camper. That is until I added beer to bring home from Hill Farmstead, Maine Beer Co. and Trillium. Damn good beers! Have a lot more photos but my wife is in Boundary Waters right now with the camera and all our pics. Trying to post a few from my phone but will not upload for some reason.

I was in a bind away from home and had to actually pay someone else to replace my alternator this AM.. Buuummer. I could use a few of Sleepy's beverages!

I feel your pain. Discovered a shot CV two days before the trip started. No time to do myself and had to use a remain from O'Reily. Worked though.

My trip wasnt as exciting as Sleepy's. I pulled a 6x12 uhaul trailer home from Fl with about 2200 lbs of stuff in it. Managed to get about 14mpg on the trip. Was a brand new uhaul, so it was actually a pleasant drive.

Decided against my first idea and installed the metal tech long travel icon 2.5's with cdc and removed the rear sway bar and plugged the KDSS line

Installed OPOR sliders from Metal Tech today. As noted in a previous post, instructions stink! Holes all lined up. Trimmed 1.5" section from old running boards to cover lower rear of front fender flare.

Also installed repaired sub woofer. Local shop did an incredible refoam for $29! Could barely buy a repair kit for that amount. Works great!

Ordered trailer hitch and harness today. Just need to order Weathertech Floor mats. Have the rear already.

Next project is selecting a lift. Way too many choices and opinions.

Replaced the rear air bags in my wife GX with a set I picked up from @dougc, thanks again. No more saggy rear end. Also I went ahead and swapped out all the suspension components. The GX has 203K on it and there is zero record of any suspension work on the lexus owners site. @dougc components took about 3 hours to swap.
