I think your fenders are going to pay a price, though

Finally got a new mini-truck booster and an 80 series MC installed. Drags a bit so I need to trim the pushrod a tad. Hopefully will be ready tomorrow. Also bought a new to me compressor for sanding then painting the piggy this fall

Replaced the fuel filler tube in my 74 FJ55. Old tube was leaking through a hole that looked like it had been drilled (impossible) under the grommet where the tube goes inside the fender. Also adjusted the pre-load on the transfer output shaft bearing. Seems a bit quieter when its going down the road.
More trouble-free miles ahead.

Wet sanding the primer coat give you less orange peal in your finish coat.

Hope you didn't pay alot for that muffler  My .02... orange peel has much more to do with reducer speed vs conditions (temp/humidity), distance of gun and speed, adjustment of the gun(material being thrown down)/skill of the painter. Wet sanding the color and/or clear coats if necessary removes excess orange peel. Other than that it looks good...nice to see the guide coat being used and I'm sure it will be looking good when completed.

I'm no painter, thats why it's at the Body Shop. I'd like to understudy a good painter and learn the trade. I could have saved alot of $ If I new how to lay down the PPG.

Mmmmm....new Ruffstuff 5/8" U-bolts, think I'll put these on today.

Have the Rotisserie about 90% complete. Just need to weld up the mounts for the hydraulic rams and paint it. Next, comes the mock fit of the Vortec and 4L80E tranny and mounts. If everything clears, the body should be off my cruiser and ready for some serious repair by next weekend!
