Took her for a three hour trip in the mountains, Ol' Ironpig lives again. It was a blast!

Hope you didn't pay alot for that mufflerMy .02... orange peel has much more to do with reducer speed vs conditions (temp/humidity), distance of gun and speed, adjustment of the gun(material being thrown down)/skill of the painter. Wet sanding the color and/or clear coats if necessary removes excess orange peel. Other than that it looks good...nice to see the guide coat being used and I'm sure it will be looking good when completed.
So you get your reducer set perfectly but you are painting over an already orange peeled surface, what do you think you will get?
To me it makes sense to wet sand the primer if you want it looking nice...
merely pointed out wet sanding (usually done with 600 often 1000/1200 grit) on the primer is kind of rarified air. For example, when I did Pigwald https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-pig-preservation-society/169838-august-potm-pigwald.html a few years back from baremetal/bodywork the drill was 3 heavy coats of primer, followed by 180 on the DA and hand blocking some areas. 3 more coats of primer, followed by mainly 240 on the DA, some hand blocking with 320 and 3M scratch pad. Lots of cleaning with prep solv/pre kleeno, blowing and tacking (and cleaning the spray booth). Then sealer coat, two to three coats each of color (can't remember anymore...but I think we did three as some colors don't cover as well). Then two coats of clear. Now there is a little dirt here and there in the paint, but no orange peel...but if there was I'd wet sand and buff it to an insane shine. Short story, 240 on the DA is plenty enough for a smooth primer surface. Unless you are going ultimate show paint scheme.
replaced the door weatherstripping on all 4 doors yesterday. The doors initially were hard to shut, but when I opened them today, they shut properly without having to slam them.
Which Cruiser do you want to get you to grad?
That's my boy.
Tech = checked the oil.
Was it the weatherstripping actually on the door? I need to replace all of my weatherstripping, I have stuff for the door jamb, but not the door. Pictures? What did you use? How much did it cost? Thanks
Picked up the phone, called River City Differentials. Made an appointment to have some 4.88s put in, tomorrow at 0830. I'm exhausted...
