Deans87, what did you get that rack off of? I love it, and I want one...

It looks alot like a BJ60 rack. I have one of those sitting around somewhere. It does look cool on that 55!

Great Day Yesterday

I finally realzed why the key switch on the tailgate was not working. I should have checked that location the first day the key switch would not work ;p:lol:

No, that's not a BJ60 rack. BJ60 racks are the same both directions. This one looks like one from an older US vehicle.

Opened the split case and reseated/pushed the hi-low shift rod back into position. So happy it wasn't as big a job as it appeared to be.

Nice looking Piggy!

Thanks!

Cool pic of graduation day........the rattlecan job still holding up well too!!!

Just good quality paint in those cans - the painter is a hack. :D

I'm already looking for the perfect father/son project to give my kid when he graduates. He's 4 now. I hope that'll be enough time to fix something up!

He gets out in the yard to help wrenching sometimes but he definitely enjoys the 'after' part of the projects more.He made the honor roll so he has the smarts.

When You said you were going to repair the leaking seal yet did not mention new brake shoes I held back cause I just knew the Pighead was to smart to put greasy old shoes back on his Pig and of course, I was right.

Just like I am also sure the Pighead is gonna locktight red those backing plate mounting bolts. ;)

So, had a chance to try out the new gearing yet?

I didn't think I needed new shoes until I saw how thin my old ones were...
But today I swapped in a working speedometer and my new speedo cable.

I'm liking the new gears around town, haven't really tried them on the freeway yet.

IPOR rocker panels

Ordered a set of IPOR rocker panels this morning, They say they now have 2 1/2 pairs left.

...hosed off the undercarriage, found some carnage. Probably Rubithon carnage.
That's my rear transfer case cross-member.

When You said you were going to repair the leaking seal

As an aside, when I took out the rear seal, I found another seal under it. This is Morgan Fletcher's old doubler, Mudrak (and Lil'John) built it. Somewhere in there it got the Mudrak double seal treatment. Morgan drove this doubler in the 2000 Pigrun. Wondering how long Gary has been doing the double seal and if this is one of his first. And if it's still under warranty.

Eanie meanie minie mo... Which relic-ish CB to run the pig?

The Uniden won't turn on, and the Cobra has intermittent power issues.. Looks like the Monty Ward is winning so far... I'm going to keep tinkering with the Cobra.. How can you pass up something that says 'Dynamike' on it? ;)

Howdy! Can't tell in the pic, but I think you do need to have the mic cord plugged into it to have it power up the Uniden. I know there are several radios that work this way. I don't think they have an internal fuse on the power supply, but it could be just a loose lead on the inside. I have the same unit in my Piggy. Good Luck. John

You are correct. The Uniden will not power up without the mic plugged in. Have one in my 40.

took off the pitiful bald 30" rollers so i could hopefully get rid of them and put on a set of "classic" swedish rollers. yeah, sad, but at least it gets the viskafors out of the back yard

Put 600 miles on the piggy today! Cranbrook, B.C. to Pocatello, ID. Tomorrow off to Tuscon, AZ to pick up some stuff and then back up to UT for the Relic Run on Friday.

The piggy will have over 3000 miles put on in the course of the next week or so!!

I'm sure my butt will be telling me before long too.
