:o Don't let my dashing intellectual good looks fool you, I'm not nearly that smart :hillbilly:

Yesterday, we have installed the vacuum meter, my Piggy´s dash start to look like a italian coffee machine

Your pic is like one of those car pics with a hot chick posing on it Animaldevictor. While the vacuum gauge install is very cool I am still distracted by the uber cool custom dashpad. Nice work there.

New toyota fogs, using previously installed wiring harness that needed a lot of re-furb work.

They are 35W yellow fogs from Mot- so I'll run them all the time. Currently they are wired to cut out when I turn on the high beams, but I may change that.

Doc, where did you get that Lightning McQueen? My little guy will want one...

The starter went out in Moab. And it is in the valley of the 2UZ-FE, under the supercharger. You have to pull the whole top of the motor off to get to it. I don't really have time to do it. So it is going to Slee. I am also going to have them install a toggle switch on the electric fan, for water crossings.

And see if they know anyone that can recover the back seat.

Just wrapping up the small stuff...... I know I have said that a lot. Amazing how much small stuff there is! Haha

Ryan.

......Why?

What an absolutely terrible place for a starter. I'm glad I don't have that problem. That would really suck to have to swap starters on the trail.

Oh yeah it is absolutely a horrible place for a starter, my dad was with me (old Mechanic) and he couldn't believe it. I think going by Toyota's maint manual it is an 8 hour job. That s with the regular intake and without the supercharger.

That wouldv'e been a deal breaker on that power plant. That the one really good thing about the Chevy 350 you can rebuild one in the parking lot of any major autoparts store. All the parts are in stock.

I would have to agree. Simplicity is wonderful and cheap! Emphasis on the easy part. Sorry to poop on your parade Ryan.

Got 17" of vacuum out of it. I still am in awe of how smooove it sounds, but then......

started hacking some 1/2 doors yesterday

will post pics with progress soon

I ran the Cruiser Outfitter booth on Saturday at a local Jeep event of all places, that was held out at the Miller Motorsports Park.. They have a small 4x4 park.. The need to follow built Jeeps to make them feel dumb was pumping through my veins.. The FJ55 gave me that look of, "let's do this"...

We showed up a few Jeeps in some tight flexy squeesy spots... In turn, we earned battle wound - a badge of heroism and triumph. Thin rusty metal doesn't hold the weight of the vehicle like it used to.. ;)
