Fj55tlc that means alot to me I've been taking ideas from you guys for the last Five yrs. I have looked your build pics over lots of times. The only thing that I came up with myself is the fj40 dash Idea. I just hated the 55's dash so much. It looks like someone tried too soften up the inside of a beast. I had to make it hard. so I bought a f40 crawl off ebay and haked it up. It wasn't that hard of a skin graft to do
Fine idear on that dash. I MUST know more about your exterior grab bar/ rack mount?

I was out in Gilmer TX and a buddy of mine got off camber on the trail. He drug the drip lip off his rig and left it on a tree. I told myself then that I would put a slider just above the drip lip. I plan on mount my yet to build roof rack on it. It is also nice for grabing when you take that large step up onto one of the rear quarter sliders.

I worked on it last night, Got the frombie hi steer In place. Thank to 4x4 labs I'll post the pics on here in the morning.

Pulled the e brake drum to change the output studs. Finally installed the new shocks. More work on front bumper V2. Cleaned out the inside of hardware tools and left over parts. Bolted down the transmission hump. and stuff...

Fixed the exhaust

swapped in some shorter but stiffer rear coils. Same ride height, but 1.5"shorter springs. Progressive, too. Not a lot of chance to test if it makes a difference. I think it will.

not necessarily for the pig, but I went and got another 1FZ and A343F today. It fits so nice in the 45LV I just had to get another.

working on eliminating the offy and four barrel in exchange for a much more fuel efficient two barrel and stock manifold.

Which 2 barrel are you going to use?

How long have you had those pipes wrapped? I used to have an FJ40 that I put downey headers on and I wrapped them. Within about a year or 2 (10-20k miles- was my daily driver) there was a big hole blown out where the pipes meet at the lower bends. I don't know for sure if the wrap is what caused it, but I haven't wrapped any headers since then. I've had a couple sets of un-wrapped ceramic coated downey headers on that 40 and my 55 since then without any issues.

headers were wrapped by the po. i've had the rig for about three and a half years or so..not sure when he wrapped them. i don't normally wrap them as i had my first cruiser rot through (except on my motorcycle, where it's necessary). as for the carb, the future owner has a new weber 38 that i'm putting on it.

carb is on (not fine tuned) and exhaust leak fixed. still need to hook up the electric choke, not sure where i want to put it, and put in a fuel regulator, but it runs and drives again. also figured out what circuit my short is that drains the battery when it sits for a couple weeks or more (taillights/horn), just need to find that now. do a bunch of body work, then it goes to another rising sun member and i'll be down to one pig.

Drove mine to the farm pulled some parts for a 60 I'm working on, jammed to the IPOD through the onboard stereo while working.......drank several Shiners out of the onboard cooler...........drove it home.....

Blue Pig is going away?

To who?

Fluids day!

Engine oil
X-fer case
Rear diff.

Clean and adjust the rear brakes on the smurf.

After looking around decided a power wash would be a good idea, so did that too.

Well it wasn't today but we did take it wheeling at "Cruise Moab" last week.

A couple of days ago I got the broken muffler mount fixed and the exhaust pipe upsized to 2 1/4" all the way back.

Finally finishing up the rear end/bumper. Installed right side rear reflector and license light. :) The left side reflector and light interferes with the bumper/spindle, unfortunately. Need to deal with that. :( Bought a spare and fit the Hi-Lift. Mocked it all up for the first time today. Plan to have a bracket fabbed/welded onto the tire carrier that holds a license plate bracket and light... soon.
