Today I drove with four people in my 1969 for the first time and learned there is not much room in the second row when I have the first row bench seat all the way back.

That's one reason I made mine a dedicated two seater.

That's why my rear buckets are 6 inches further back. Little less cargo but not a deal breaker.

Fiddled with dizzy springs some more.
Took out one of the light springs, replaced with a slightly heavier. Put it back in, couldn't get it lined up, ended up 180* out. I did the right thing and just rearranged the wires. Still wasn't right and hilarity ensued for a good while. I h8 the dizzy hold down bolt on this 60 series...earlier was much nicer.
Had to pull and stab a couple times, finally got it right.
Ran it around the block a few times, it's better. Can't make it ping at 12*, can just get it to start to ping at 17. Manifold vacuum is down to 14.5 at 12* BTDC. 16ish with 17 * BTDC.
vacuum of 16" is about as good as i get with this engine at this altitude.
And it's pretty driveable. I can pull a very mild grade in high gear, couldn't always before.
I'll fiddle with it more, keep yall posted.

That's a beauty. How does that pusher electric fan work in the LV heat?

Haven’t had time to open it back up yet. Work has been busy. Still hopeful the side rails have adjustments that I had not noticed before. Later today getting a bad weld fixed on my exhaust pipe which is the source of some nasty smell finding it’s way into the truck.

Mine has no room for adjustments side-to-side. The only thing I can think of is that if your gear teeth on the power mechanism are off by one the window may by a bit cocked sideways, increasing the resistance.

The vintage air unit installed along with the electric fan keeps the front seat people comfortable. I think what I really need is ceramic tint!

I did a clear, UV, tint on all 36 sq ft of glass and it made a noticeable difference. The black dash creates a significant amount of heat that is directed right to the front passengers.

At one point before the tint I measured the heat of the dash at 180 degrees. After the clear tint it measured 150 degrees. Although this test is subject to so many variables.

The odd thing that occurs is that with polarized glasses the reflection of light off of oncoming cars winshields is purple and sometimes clouds have a rainbow type look.

I think its the glasses???

Different tint qualities look different through different polarized lenses. With my Maui Jim sunglasses and the SolarTek tint I put on my 100 I see no issues. With my same glasses and the tint in my sons car I see checkerboards and sometimes weird colors.
