What did you do to your pig today?

Put a fuel pressure gauge right at the fuel inlet on the sniper. I do that on all my installs. Helps a ton trouble shooting.
I have one. Reads a solid 60-62 psi. First thing I always check. Last weekend spent some time messing with the IAC and idle screw. Doesn’t stall now but not quite right yet. I spent a lot of time in the manuals, online posts on the Holley Forum, and on YouTube. The more I understand the more adjustments and tuning areas there are to try to understand.

At the tire store getting a nail repair and tire rotation. Fun to watch all the workers fight over who got to drive the pig into the bay.

drove it and snapped a pic

Been quite a while since we’ve seen the bugsnbikes machine in here!
Purchased it and continuing the build.

They weren't fighting, they trying to figure out who knew how to drive a stick.
Even better when @FJBen takes RHD turbo diesel 5-speed in for a tire rotate. They really don't know what to do!

Continued to explore the Walbro GSL392 fuel pump feeding my Holley Sniper EFI. Pulled the intake tube into the tank: all good. Bench tested the old pump and a new trail spare without any filters between two gas tanks. Old one has a loud whine and new one a nice whirring sound. So I will replace that. Pumped out all the fuel from the tank and looked around…not good. Looks like the Gas Tank Renu professionally done coating is failing and chunking off. Confirmed there are large chunks in the tank that end up as smaller chunks in the pre filter. Gas Tank Renu has a lifetime warranty but it means I need to drop the tank and drive it 400 miles north. Might combine drop off and a visit to The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum for CruiserFest this weekend. This shouldn’t happen to the tank. Maybe a new guy did the coating? Maybe they didn’t clean it properly after internal sand blast? Maybe the coating was not mixed right? Maybe who knows?

Finally I can post something again! Got the Firepig ready for the (last😭😭😭) Reno Air Races next week. Oil change. Who knew the Firetruck version of the I 6, with oil cooler, holds 8 Qts??!! Added another siren and a 12v outlet. Mounted a real
Big boy fire extinguisher on the tailboard. And most importantly, added a secret weapon. Flip up the unassuming access panel and out pops an Aaaoooggghhaaa horn! And it’s loud as s*it!! 😀😀😀

I thought all of the F engines hold 8 quarts?

What did I do to my pig today??? I‘ll tell ya what did to my pig today!!!

I made my non binary 1970/1971 Landcruiser pig go down the highway at lightNing speed on a slip stream chasing an elusive sunset at 55 miles per hour while blasting Santana’s Abraxas and playing air guitar as I made contorted faces, like Carlos did at Woodstock, with my head uncontrollingly flailing back and forth until I reach the sunset of my expectations. WOW, WHAT A RIDE ONLY A PIG COULD PRODUCE.

Thats what my pig DID TO ME today!!!
