Fj62; yes. Plan is to make a clay model adapter, render in cad, then 3d print. Paged Doublenickles as I figured he’d probably beat me to the punch…

Renewed the steering box on the 1973 FJ55.
Just waiting for the seals to come in.

Not that I can see. The oem mirror holes put a 60/62, and I imagine 7x series mirror to close to the driver in my opinion. IF this goes, it’ll work for 60/62 mirrors. I don’t have any 70 mirrors to reference, but if their holes are same spacing as 6x, then those as well. IF this goes, files will be available for free for use.

I got the poor thing out and drove it to dinner tonight with my fam. It performed flawlessly of course, 2f just happy to be alive. I got it out for a glamour shot and did a nice rip through the woods. What a fun ride. I love my piggie.

Where did you get the parts for this rebuild? I need to do mine.

U-joints from FJ Parts, 04371-10011-J.
Seals and boots from Specter. 098-49H, 098-01, 094-05-APR.
My bushings and bearings were fine. Try Toyotapartsdeal.com for those.
Just had to clean it up and use my existing shims to set the pre-load on the worm gear.
Not sure who has the shims.

Took out the last of the stock heater compnents, made a template for mounting the new heater. Trial fitting...

Found a new way to break the tailgate window mechanism . Seems that those little clips on the bottom of the metal glass channel can break off.
I found one , can't seem to find the other...
