Given the robust bumper system as a base, I am surprised Sam didn't go with a reefer basket - handy for cold beverages and warm road kill. Did he consult you on design parameters?
I am certain that Jason could whip up an appropriate accessory for this use.

Guys, the LH (for more correct 70 series, that is the Passenger Side) swing out is removable and will not be on there most of the time. I am sure that Jason could build me a critter basket at a later time ...
Uh, no. RHD is fine if you like to roll that way, but "correct"? Nossir, no way. Just my 3 cents...
Tonights project was simple enough...ditch the 100' of stock steel cable that came on the 24v ComeUp winch and replace it with 80' of synthetic line from JM Rigging and a bling-bling Factor55 Hawse and thimble...note that the line sleeve and the thimble are red - gotta match
I run 20% under on ALL my winchlines, and also carry a 50' extension...why? Because I'm lazy...first, less line on the drum means better odds of being at a lower layer during use, which is where a winch maximizes its pulling power. Second, for long pulls, it's common for the line to primarily load on one side of the drum...I am FAR too lazy to respool halfway through a recovery, and this helps prevent overloading one side and exploding the winch (seen it happen). Finally, if I need that extra 50', it's faster to wind that up by hand than respool the drum. I've used my extensions a lot, every rig has one.
JM Rigging is "up the street" in Cedar City UT, and Jim is a big supporter of the area rock crawl comps...stopped by his shop and chatted while he made my lines to order, and had a few other things on the shelf I needed (including a velcro-hook winchline protector)
I have not done a loaded pull with the ComeUp winch yet, but was VERY impressed with the unloaded line speed...not as fast as the WARN 9.5 in my FZJ80, but still very fast. Looking forward to winching someone out with it someday
