Tried to take the fzj75 to the bike trails yesterday. Made it 2 miles and my fuel pump stopped dead. Rode my bike home grabbed some tools and was able to hotwire the fuel pump to get home. Always keep a bike in the back!
Today I dug into and finally fully removed the miles of wiring from a long defunct, poorly installed aftermarket security system that was at fault.
Luckily not many factory wires were cut, just spliced into. There is a special place in hell for shops that install these systems. This one was had cutouts for both spark and fuel. I had to remove a similar one in my 83 300d earlier this year.
