Anyone running 33”x10” (Pizza Cutters) on their 70 Series?
Anyone running 33”x10” (Pizza Cutters) on their 70 Series?
33 x 10 as an absolute tire size is one that I have not seen. However, there are multiple tire options in approximately a 33 x 10 size neighborhood. If the 33 x 10 neighborhood covers your question, then yes there are probably many of us.
i think this size looks great on most trucks.255/85/16.

Torque with permanent type loctite. Recheck/retorque after a couple hundred miles. To include wheels for recheck if you ever use steelies. Uneven mating surface of steel will wear into the spacer making them slightly loose. This caused more wear and a wheel loss for me when I ran big 2" Spacers.Getting some major maintenance going on "Karen" the HZJ-73. Front axle is going back in. It has a mix of parts. Blasted and painted up the old OME lift springs, powder coated the housings and knuckles, had some new shackle kits lying around, bought new bushings, steering and axle kit from @cruiseroutfit, put in a e-locker front diff I had lying around that will get controlled by an air actuator to match the arb rear (had laying around as well) so the truck will be locked, New Dobinsons IMS shocks on the way from Ozark Overland Outfitters, reusing the OME steering damper (needs a repaint but still solid). I am kinda bummed that I have to run wheel spacers, but they are the only way to make the truck look right when I put flares back on it (and not have the steering gouge the wheel at full lock-doh! ). I ran spacers on my old 80 on 35's and never had a hint of an issue so all good. They are just a pain.View attachment 3811588View attachment 3811589
Agreed. I was religious about the spacers on my 80 with 35's. I ran that thing cross country many times and wheeled it pretty hard. Mostly I am bummed that I trusted the company that was adamant about their particular zero offset wheel being the best choice for a 70 series (they gave a nice gouge on the tre at full lock- doh!). The perfect wheel in my case (which will be with factory flares back on and the tires even with the flare) is right about a -30mm offset. I already have the 1 1/2" spacers to give about a -38 offset, so going with that for now at least.Torque with permanent type loctite. Recheck/retorque after a couple hundred miles. So gratifying opening up those beautiful new Toyota parts.I have not been driving the HZJ77 for quite awhile and when I tried to start it yesterday, the batteries were dead. I had to charge them back up and while putting the batteries back in I saw that the original battery cable between the two batteries was not in good shape. Fortunately I had ordered 82124-36011 awhile back and it fit perfectly. Good new OEM Yazaki goodness.
