I'd be a little curious about the strength of a two-piece bumper. Depends on what you do with your bumper. When you put the lights in the bumper like that it does allow you to put bigger swing outs on both sides that cover up the factory lights.
My BJ's 73 is from Spain. It had its tail lights in the bumper, and those goofy Spanish blacked out halfway tail lights in the body. Factory bumper was a weak piece of junk and bent all to pieces the first time I put a high lift under it. Made my own bumper one piece. I have one swing out but because I put the lights in the bumper I could cover up the tail light in the body and it's big enough for two Jerry cans jerk strap high lift and spare while leaving the small door with door handle unobstructed for easy access in and out. All depends on what you want. The ability to cover up the lights in the body enables you to have a nice big swing out that doesn't obstruct the door for easy in and out.Sorry I missed this post but this moto-rage branded two piece bumper is just one I am using for now, I don't intend to have swing outs on it and it isn't made for that anyways. The moto-rage bumper comes ready to go except you have to deal with the wiring for the LED lights. Easy to do.

I probably need to drill some holes in my panel covers. I also need to let a small amount of air in from the fresh air intake into the cabin. My factory climate control was completely shot in every way so I ripped it out and replaced it with a vintage air unit. There was no good way to plumb the fresh air intake down to the unit so I sealed off the fresh air intake. First order result of this is my defrost it does not work well on cold rainy days the vehicle will fog up easy if you don't crack a window. Second order effect which you mentioned here is lack of airflow through the cabin and body. I have no doubt this has contributed to accelerating rusting around my fender Wells, as I no longer have good air flow through the body to dry out the inner panels in spot welded seams around the wheel wells.As long as the vent remains functional, which that one looks like they are, you are good. With a sealed up body you get a lot of air out of those vents closing the doors or with the A/C or heater on.
