Other quickie to-dos from the weekend that felt pretty damn good. Swapped out the all black license plate light cover and replaced the fuel cap. Love the quickies.

Is that black on black OEM? Different market? Corolla? Plan to modify it a bit to make it work on bumper accessories when the door unit is blocked.

I decided to get a new section of the oem flares from Dave Stedman since one of them was damaged before I got the 77.

Trying to decide if I want to rattle can Toyota white 045 or take it in to have it done professionally.

As I have said before, I am not a fan of flares but seeing this new oem flares makes me realize they are high quality solid FRP material build so that is nice to discover.

I also got all new rubber seals for all of the flares as well.

If you find a rattle can that’s even close to your “Toyota white” I would interested in knowing where you found it.
😊

I have a couple cans of Dupli-Color BTY1578 Toyota 045 "Perfect Match" which has worked well in the past but never used it on a body part that large, exterior wise. Not sure if I want to.

Honestly, I would have left the original flare on as it is, but the part where the mud flap mounts on the flare was also damaged and would not hold a screw there. I decided to have it replaced while I am in the middle of other stuff that would have involved me removing the mud flap anyways.

Thanks
I‘ve tried to touch up the canopy on my truck and could never quite get it right.

I used some Wimbledon White I got at Autozone on my 55 a few weeks ago and it is a pretty good match for Cygnus White.

Probably should add this one. 😁

For what those cost, they deserve a good paint job.

Anti-Jeep stickers is a good way to get your cruiser all scratched up in the parking lot here in South Texas so none of those for me.

Purchased a trailer wiring kit off etrailer that uses the exact same male/female connectors to the combination lights for a different Toyota vehicle. I did have to re-pin the connectors so they properly match up with the HZJ77 connector pin locations for brake, tail, and turn signals. I tested everything after re-pinning the connectors and hooked it up....and it worked perfectly.

What is nice about this kit is that I can now tap into the wires of of the wiring kit rather than butchering and splicing the factory OEM harness for the bumper lights, The 4-pin trailer connector can also be easily adapted to 7-pin trailer connector as well but that is a project for another day.
