This is what happens when an ARB compressor lets go.

A fun way to spend a Sunday morning. To make it perfect the hood will need to be removed but I gave it my best shot. That goo was a mixture of Velcro and toxic waste.

Must have been easy to clean without that pesky prop rod in your way.... :)

No, it was still a pain in the ass but at least I didn't have to worry about the hood whacking me in the head. :)

The proper instrument cluster is now installed. Rob's de-resurrecting the Ute one part at a time. :)

Added some extra fuel capacity for those long treks to WalMart. :)

.. let me fit them up 1st... wouldn't want to steer anyone wrong.. if all is good I'll gladly post the supplier contact info.. hope you're ok with that ordered the 17th last month.. got here today

I'm simply very curious. I have been on the fence about flaring mine.

Thought I was installing the flares this weekend.. but need the rivet nut installation tool.(comes with rivet nuts).. so here's the link for the flares... the supplier will discount for multiple orders ( I asked him) & he said 5 kits would fit In 1 shipping box ( I paid $100 shipping)

Removed a “House” under construction... I was under the BJ73 checking things and noticed sometiing odd inside the frame access hole...

Very interesting. I admit I was a bit surprised to see where they are manufactured. I look forward to your fitting report. 🍺

Turns out Russia had a version of the LJ.. an LJ79.. never came with the 2L-TE engine.. 3L only.. but the 2L-TE engine is common.. I'm now trying to buy a rebuilt /tested denso 2L-TE Injection pump... $410 + shipping..

Why? Why don't you just take your pump and have an injection shop just rebuild it? I personally would not buy from that site. But that's just me.

Toyota/NipponDenso pumps are nothing more than licensed Bosch pumps re-designed and installed with Toyota controls.

Mr "B".. my challenge is I took my LJ to "the" best diesel ship about 29 miles away.. they will "look it over" for $250.00 & a rebuild $1000 + parts (less the "look over" cost).. I would appreciate any feedback on this..
Ergo the search for a rebuilt inj. pump..
Cheers

Hey Dan....I've been bringing in Kut Snake flares.....bolt on style. Have a set for my new 79 project. They are VERY stout flares. I've been moving 80 series stuff but they have it all.....40, 60, 70, 80, 100, 200(on the way). If you'd like, I'll find out if they have them for your model. I've got to get pics of the 70 series ones I have.....

Here are some 80's flares...
