Just so I understand, why is this setup worse than stock? Seems to get more air to the engine..

How does it seem to get more air to the engine? Have you done any flow measurements?

Are there any cone filters that you would suggest? I like the space it gives me with this intake, but if it's bad for the engine then it will come off

The purpose of an air filter is to filter out contaminants. "performance" filters like this gain their "performance" by filtering out less, allowing for *marginally* more flow. This is the reason why you see some racecars who have no filters on their intakes at all, most often seen with turbocharged import cars.

An exaggerated analogy would be replacing your stock air filter with a wire mesh screen. More dust/dirt/water/whatever will be sucked in through the intake.

As was said above, it's bad for your engine because those crappy filters do not filter well at all. Put the stock filter back on.

Jim Chenweth (sp) spoke of the benefits of running oem filters is why that's all I run now.

Swapped in the oem filter. I don't want to replace an engine anytime soon.

I made a cup holder for the rear of my console. Painting it grey to match.

Nice

Ahh it'll buff out.

I put a flat soccer ball in the door and slowly inflated it. Popped most of it out. Still needs some work but it's not as bad

I remember my first dent.

It's all downhill from there, shame on such a clean body though.

Remember that every dent tells a story, or just get some white rust free doors of a parts truck.

After the first dent most tend to stop worrying about body damage
