Scott bought one for his, same idea, just not that long. Haven't had any issues, and he wheels it like he stole it, so yeah, I'd leave it tnere.

Jolene's got that lovin' feelin' back.
New Pleiades globes at all 4 corners.
Lexus on the left, Pleiades on the right.

Pulled the 45 front shackles to realize I had the wrong bushings and followed it up with the exact same procedure for the rear :bang:

At least spun the bushings 180 to get to a non wear spot while in there.

Pulled the 80 sliders prepping for paint and some exhaust work

Modified the rear shift rail in my np205 for front digs. Looking forward to doing fwd donuts without breaking stuff!! :hillbilly: :steer:

Got an oil leak that's popped up after installing (did NOT do it myself) a weber carb on my 87 60. My first question is, could there be some issue linked to the carb install that is inducing this? The truck idles high right now and the oil pressure reads at the top of "acceptable" range. Before the work, she was dry as a bone underneath...

Top-side, there's really no indicator of any leaking at all.

I'm all ears on troubleshooting, similar problems, and recommendations.

Got a lot done (for me, slowly) this weekend.

Swapped in 9011 and 9012 headlights into both LX's. Got rid of some gawdawful LED Hi/Lo's that were in Sarah's '97 (sorry Austin). Had to remove the housings from the front of hers dues to the dual battery/charging setup in it (much easier than removing that stuff), then the inevitable Q-tip detailing she needed to do to the now-exposed parts.

Her radio stopped powering up last week. Isolated the problem to the harness side Blue/White wire (pre-splice). Now to trace it. Tested the radio and it powered up fine. Odd thing - her radio harness ('97) goes behind the passenger side airbag and mine ('96) goes towards the DS, from what I can tell. Maybe I reversed those years but they don't go the same direction that I have found yet.

I removed my nonfunctioning '96 LX clock to find that it wasn't plugged in. Didn't matter. Plugged in, it just sits at 1:00...until you turn on the headlights, then it flashes in no discernible pattern . Now I know why it never worked since I bought it. Everything else that gets power through it works just fine. Oh...and all I broke while removing it was this...

Determined that the PS rear door lock problem in Sarah's LX was due to a broken lock motor. The motor shaft was just spinning inside the gear. Swapped in the one from my '94 for the win. Now I need to replace that one. Taught her what a JIS screwdriver is and also how to remove a door panel without ruining it.

Did a bunch of clean/lube/anti seize on stuff as I got to it (yes even on MY truck). Gonna open up a dead window motor this week and see if there's anything I can do to lube those internally. I've cleaned the master switch connections, removed/cleaned/lubed the window channels, and cleaned the glass but the windows still do what they want when they want as far as speed up/down go.

Dude, that crossmember is sweet looking!

Was thinking the same thing.... dont think i had seen that.

Thanks guys. Like @onemanarmy said, details in my build thread. It's been more fabricating than wrenching, so I haven't been posting up much here.
Here's another pic. Pretty stoked with how it's coming out. Lots of work!!

What's the small two hole bracket in the hoop part? Cable shifter bracket? Nuts how thick walled that tube is, definitely stout!

Scroll up to my previous post on this page. You'll see the two push-pull cables mounted there for the shifters.
