Got a lot done (for me, slowly) this weekend.
Swapped in
9011 and 9012 headlights into both LX's. Got rid of some gawdawful LED Hi/Lo's that were in Sarah's '97 (sorry Austin). Had to remove the housings from the front of hers dues to the dual battery/charging setup in it (much easier than removing that stuff), then the inevitable Q-tip detailing she needed to do to the now-exposed parts.
Her radio stopped powering up last week. Isolated the problem to the harness side Blue/White wire (pre-splice). Now to trace it. Tested the radio and it powered up fine. Odd thing - her radio harness ('97) goes behind the passenger side airbag and mine ('96) goes towards the DS, from what I can tell. Maybe I reversed those years but they don't go the same direction that I have found yet.

I removed my nonfunctioning '96 LX clock to find that it wasn't plugged in. Didn't matter. Plugged in, it just sits at 1:00...until you turn on the headlights, then it flashes in no discernible pattern . Now I know why it never worked since I bought it. Everything else that gets power through it works just fine. Oh...and all I broke while removing it was this...

Determined that the PS rear door lock problem in Sarah's LX was due to a broken lock motor. The motor shaft was just spinning inside the gear. Swapped in the one from my '94 for the win. Now I need to replace that one. Taught her what a JIS screwdriver is and also how to remove a door panel without ruining it.

Did a bunch of clean/lube/anti seize on stuff as I got to it (yes even on MY truck). Gonna open up a dead window motor this week and see if there's anything I can do to lube those internally. I've cleaned the master switch connections, removed/cleaned/lubed the window channels, and cleaned the glass but the windows still do what they want when they want as far as speed up/down go.
