I really like that trick looping it up. Much better than duct tape. Will have to try that next time out.

Sorta tool related...I purchased a bunch of 4/4 and 8/4 (live edge) rough sawn oak for give away prices...

I need to get these planed square and don’t really want to spend 5-600 bucs on a high end hobby planer (that gets used once and takes up storage space). These boards are 9 foot length from 4” to 16” wide.

Does anyone know of a place where I could pay to have these planed? I’d rather spend a couple hundred bucs and pay to have it done. I’m not in the wood working space so this is all new to me.

To follow up on this, I found a shop in SW Chapel Hill to do the work. Hill Country Woodworks - Home

They charge by the hour - $80. Will maybe take them two hours to join/plane/sand all 18 pieces. They were recommended to me by a previous coworker that used them in the past with success. I dropped them off earlier today and will pick them up this evening - pics then.

Pics of my wood.

I’d recommend them and use them again in a heartbeat.

The question is what r you going to build with it

Nah, the question is -- with the lead of 'pics of my wood' I was really expecting something else..... and at this point in the world I was looking forward to it.... ;)

Little brother......Big brother.

Not a huge difference in size, but the 887 is definitely lighter. I bought a couple of 2.0Ah batteries to go with it and a set of bits. Looking forward to putting it to use!

I guess when you do it for a living, buying all the cool toys actually makes sense.

After stripping several trucks from underneath on the lift for Lizard Skin it was time. No friggin Idea where I am going to store this thing. 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb shop.

Replacing my Craftsman boxes that I bought in high school. That was 1978. These only have to last a little more than half that long. I have a couple US General 5 drawer mechanic's carts that are holding up very well. A lot of box for not a lot of money.

I have the Husky black edition. The one awesome feature is soft close drawers. I have an old Craftsman as well and loved it but didn't realize how often I slam the drawers only to have to add an extra push to make sure they close.

Stan, I’m used to crappy web sites but Chinese knock offs may be what they sell. I cut and pasted this from the website. No, I have not used the site.
