I'm sick, lathargic and miserable, the only thing to make me feel better is spending money like a lady on things I don't need. Lets how this thing does in place of my conventional 100aH AGM with twice the usable capacity.

Hell yeah. My Group 31 AGM is 68 pounds, much larger, much fewer discharge cycles, and half the useable capacity.

The Renolgy is about the same price, also the Renolgy is the same as EWT which you can get on Alibaba on the slow boat (several weeks) for a few hundred bucks.

Yes, I'll be running a Redarc BCDC1225D with supports LiFePO4 bulk and float charge (among other features) and my GoPower Inverter/Charger supports up to 16V bulk charging.

Yes, my primary is a normal (smaller) Northstar starting battery with sufficent CCAs and enough to keep my winch spinning.

Another option would be a voltage booster diode fuse: HKB Electronics

I already have one but it'll only charge at 14.1v.
I'll probably remove it once I get the Redarc installed if anyone wants it.

I'll need the voltage bump from the Redarc, plus it has a MPPT controller built in and I have a suitcase 100W panel.

The RVing community has been really taking to the Battleborn 100ah battery. That's a crap ton of battery capacity in that little package. Way more than I would think necessary? They also have a 50Ah version for about half the price.

They have their own BMS built-in on board. Pretty sure this can be dropped in on a vehicle without the need for additional BMS or voltage booster upstream.

One thing that may concern me is the underhood temps potentially prematurely wearing the batt?

Another power toy that lots of RV people have been taking to is portable batts like the Goal Zero 1000. It integrates a 1500w inverter, solar charing port, and potability into it's list of features. Different format for sure but it might offer some benefits for overland style travel. Costco has this particular model for cheaper too.

I've drained my 100aH AGM to the point of it being unusable in one night of camping, well before the sun came up. I have high power requirements due to equipment.

As far as I know the BMS won't boost voltage for bulk/float. Hence, Redarc.

It has a thermal safeguard built in.
I already decided if I have temp related issues (which I don't foresee), I'll relocate it next to my inverter/charger.

Not interested in the GoalZero setup.

Curious what your heavy battery draws are? In my mind 100aH is a lot of capacity. Enough to run my whole RV at least 2 full days with heavy use for a family of 4. Not criticizing, just interested.
