Great looking Rig !

I want the same front end you have so bad, I may have to dip into the kids college funds.

Looks great!!

Ditched the Frontrunner rack, the damn thing wouldn’t sit flat on my roof. Frontrunner sent me new rails and it was still wonky, they have some sort of QC issue over there or maybe it the multi piece design they use to make shipping easier. Replaced it with a Rhino Rack and it sits perfectly flat. I also like the looks better and the fact it doesn’t sit so high off the roof.

Nothing too exciting but I went shopping at McMaster-Carr, I needed some hardware to attach the K9 dual jerry can holder to my Rhino Rack. It tuns out strut channel nuts fit the slot almost perfect and they are available in stainless. The specific size that works is:

For Strut Channel Width: 1 5/8"
For Strut Channel Height: 13/16", 1 5/8", 2 7/16", 3 1/4"
McMaster-Carr

I used M8 to attach the jerry can holder and while I was shopping picked up some M10 eyebolts and strut channel nuts for tie down points.

Nice to see another person with the rhino-rack backbone. I'm about to install mine also. Did you have any issues with installing it?

Easy install....

Best pointer I can give is to pick up a set of allen wrenches that have a ball end, you will have a hell of a time getting the bolts tight otherwise. I bought this kit from HF:

9 Pc Metric Hex Key System

Also when removing the factory rack follow this guide for bot removal:

Thanks Chris! I'll make sure to follow that. I recall some threads about losing the backing plate by removing the first one all the way and then trying to do the second. Great reminder! Does the FSM give torque specs too?

I see your listing for the SPC arms... What are your plans now?

No plans, just decided to leave it as is and not install the strut spacers or upper arms. Other than the caster (which isn't causing any unusual tire wear) my alignment is fine.

What size pioneer platform did you go with?

84”x49” part number JA8647. I got it from autoanything.com for $950 shipped (they usually run a 20% off sale every few months). I can’t say enough positive things about it, it’s a great rack.

Nothing that exciting but finally installed my SPC upper control arms and OEM spacers.

The front raised up from 29.75” to 31” measured from bottom of rim to top of wheel well.

I wanted to add the front spacers to level out the lift, the caster was already off from the lift so I thought it would be off even more with the spacers so I decided to install the upper arms. Lift before the spacer was ~2" front and ~3" rear, so its pretty much at ~3" front and rear now. I installed the upper arms preset to +2° caster and after alignment it came in at +3.5°.
