Question for those more knowledged than I @jfz80 , @NCFJ , etc.

Lets say someone did a very not so smart thing. Does the xfer case have to come out and apart to repair/replace the front shaft outer dust cover? It would be the piece between the front shaft yoke and the case.

Hmmm. Not 100% sure but if it’s like the diff then no. I just had my driveshaft our but did not look.

This is all an assumption I’d imagine remove shaft, remove stakes nut, wiggle pry dust shield out and replace the. Reverse order. Stakes but is suggested to replace but I’ve gone 1/8-1/4 turn past and restated. Count the revolutions coming off but if ordering shield just add a new nut.

I can peek at FSM later

Well, its been in the driveway 7 years now. It got an exterior exfoliation spa treatment. Still have to do the inside.

Maguiars Ultimate Compound, and a couple coats of ole school carnauba paste.

Had to keep reminding myself that its 26 year old single stage paint thats already been cut twice before, and to not get too aggressive.

Im still on the fence. Someone on here wants to look at it to buy, but im afraid ill regret the moment it pulls away.

did you Know rice toyota leaves their vehicles unlocked on sundays while they are closed. I looked at a 2016 200 series they have on the lot. Its nice, but dang they want mucho dinero for those.

I was in the same boat, had my 80 for 7 years. Really thought I was gonna regret selling it, but that really never materialized. I loved that truck but it was easier to let go than i thought it would be. I do regret selling the 100 though

Just sold the LX and I immediately regretted it!

@Cornhusker how much did you pay him to say that??? LOLOL

I think the key to not having regrets is to have a replacement plan in place. Here's my replacement plan: One LC comes in, then another, then another, then another. One goes out. It's all about balance!

3 to 1 ratio. It must be time again. Whatcha got brewing @roadstr6

Nothing too exciting brewing here. The next one to go will be Nathan's (was @JohnVee 's) LX470. Nathan will be prepping it for sale over the next few weeks. I'll post it up when it is ready to go.

^^^ And I don't regret getting rid of it. I got way more than my expected usage out of it, and it was time to move on. I'll miss having it for certain reason but I won't regret it.

EDIT: I'll correct myself - I might, one day, regret not following through with my original plan for it which was to drive it into the ground until it was completely used up. Would've been nice to see how far it'd go and how long it would take.

Nathan will continue to drive his white 100. John's old LX (now Nathan's) will find a new owner soon. That is the plan anyway.

Chased the vacuum inside yesterday afternoon, need to bolt the back seats back in...

Got the 2nd row seats back in yesterday, along with a very light degreasing. Mainly needed to degrease the gx470 skidplate LOLOL.

Today, it was the Great Greasegun Battle of 2023. Greased everything in the driveway, 80, gx, teardrop, myself, the driveway, the garbage can, and maybe the neighbors yard. LOL
