My tech tip for today, straightedges are your friend. Easy way to align plates.
Burned in the crossmember plates.
Machinist doing machist things.

About 3 hhurs of welding and grinding later..
Started burning in the deck plates.
Filler neck cover.

Light mounts.
Pulled the bed for welding.
Spare tire mount. I wanted to use a factory chain mount to store the spare under the bed.
60 spare tire carrier.
Trimmed and mounts welded in.
I moved the shackles forward cause they were so horribly inverted and it rode like an empty dump truck.
Burned in.
Started burning in the bottom of the bed.
Pulled the bed for welding.

Bed back on.
Testing the new shackle angle with around 750 lbs of skid bucket. Much betterer
Not the biggest fan of the 40 lights. Might be changing them for something else eventually, but who knows.

Rapidly running out of room. Not much to go to the side before we are in the box, and there is a frame back there.
Now that the wood is gone I suppose we can't call it the "Chuck Wagon"

Its a bit of a kit.
We were joking the other day, if I had lottery funds and time, I'd build some ridiculous furniture grade bed from some stupid rare wood.

Ok, came up with a plans. I definitely didn't forget space for license plate either... fixed that this time around.
Lights are moved out as far as possible without getting into the box.

Thats the hope. Cant go any more back cause frame is in the way, so out will give me depth
