Soon. No air cleaner. Working on that now

The only bummer so far is that the prior owner genius use a 3 turn lock to lock Saginaw box versus the preferred 4.5 turn lock to lock and it is very touchy at speed. Matt will have to get used to it unless he wants to swap that out one day.

Also, I put a 74+ temp sensor in and the gauge and it are not talking. I have a new OEM sensor for this year I'll swap in in a bit

The gauge is parking itself at the H so I am 99% sure its working. Once it gets power it goes below temp.

Got the proper sending unit in the block and it seems to be talking to the gauge.

We went with a bracket off the bracket

Then he made a bracket for the air cleaner

Painted up and bolted in

Other than a hose going from the valve cover to the air cleaner this thing is done. Now to drive it a bit

That guy is a master wizard. Nice build I love the tires. Do the headers get hotter than a stock manifold?
I don't think they do. I pretty much use headers on all of my builds since the manifolds are all getting so old.

I always like to get the truck as hot as I can then test the hot spots with the IR then see what the factory gauge is saying.

Temp sensor on head first.

Input hose

Thermostat

Head

Header for the fun of it.

Amp gauge is wild. I checked the output at the alternator. It's 14v. Just fine

4WD light works. Hubs smoothly engaged.

Put the full stuff on the parabolics to see how the tire lines up in the fender. Dead center. Perfect.
IMG_8056.jpeg

Keep that in mind when people tell you they want the tire centered at rest.

Been chasing a drip after I park it from a ride. Wipe it off and it does not drip when sitting. Only after a drive.

Just got back from a great ride to the gas station. Running awesome.

Got in and pulled it on the outside lift and I found it.

It's a crack right about fill plug level on the side of the case. Someone has welded on this at some point and evidently just sucked at it.

I'll sick the Wizard on it this week before it heads home.
