I have heard that is a concern. I wonder if tack welding some angle iron to the panels would prefent that? If not maybe zinc electroplating and a chromite coating and then paint over that. Just stuff Ive read though, never done it myself.

That's a tight fit! Presume you used the original transfer box? What about the cross member? Followed a few threads on the 5 speed conversion but still a little confused
With motor mount flex and frame flex, I doubt that is enough clearance.
Just move the torque tube now, or get a late model rear axle and ditch the tcase disc parking brake entirely. I haven’t heard anything good about those.Got my fingers crossed, but I think you may be right, will find out, and if so will modify some more.
