FJ45 door glass regulator adhesive?? (2 Viewers)

The regulator track that is on the bottom of my door glass fell off. Any ideas which type of adhesive to use so it won't come back off?

I just did my windows yesterday. Didn't have adhesive on my '70 40. There was a rubber strip that made it fit tight to the bottom of the glass.

I ended up squeezing the metal and taped it back on. Hopefully it stays on there.

I have done the same, installed them without, try cleaning both and see if helps.

As CondeCruiser said, I also have a rubber strip in that channel on my '72. Google "auto glass setting tape". I used this type of product on one of my other old cars some years back.

The rubber strip was still in it. I left it in there and just squeezed the metal together and put it back on there. Since I had to tap it on it's on their pretty snug. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

If it falls off, reassemble it with some urethane adhesive (construction adhesive, but specifically urethane). It won't come off again!
