Cim, I still have your #1 badge that Darrel gave me. We need to connect soon.
Yeah I need head that way soon to see what’s in the barn. Plus need to steel my steering column back Jeff was using for his mock up.

Happy (almost) New Year, bumping this event thread. I would love to come in 2019 and wondering the approximate date range if there is one....

cheers!

Nice Pat. Make sure that is an OE approved yellow plastic sheet hanging across the dash. The "purist" police are watching..

You're the smart one, enjoying your cruiser. If mine looked that nice I'd definitely leave it be. Sweet 60

I'm happy to see everyone is already preparing for SAS #3 in some way or another. Pretty cool to have Cruisers in various states be able to drive many miles from all corners of the country to hang out for a week. From the earliest (so far @offrd63 in his 63 40) to the more modern rigs that have all the creature comforts, we as a group have a special desire to see these iconic vehicles used and not parked in fear of damaging them. Kudos to all that attend this very cool laid back event. It's more about the journey and the community of diverse people that keep this meet so enjoyable for us as directors.
Stay tuned, final plans and a launch are coming soon.
Casey...

I’m hoping to have a 5 speed by next summer! Would help, although the 62 can already cruise much better than my ‘74 40. We went to relic run last year in NC and it was comical how many pit stops we made, and Roy d trip was around 900 miles

God and finances willing, I’ll get a 5 speed dropped in before the event so I’m not blown away by everyone else. Lol

You should have seen me in my BJ with the anemic B.

Da boys and I are looking forward to it. My wife may join as well.

I should probably wire up my cruise control:eek:

Can’t remember the last time I have used it. I don’t have it anymore in the 80 and never think about it when driving the wifes 4Runner. I now some people use their had throttle but that seems a bit sketchy.

Just put a stick between your power seat and the acelerator pedal. Power seat forward accel , power back coast:hillbilly:. Should at least get you across texas. It does not work that good in the mountains.
