I got the vibes from the grinder and decided to stop for the day. But axel is 60% prepped for mounting.

as long as you're about 2-degree up or down from perfect you'll be fine. Don't sweat it too much.

Did some serious organizing the last few months. It’s saved me a ton of time. It’s kinda mind blowing how fast i find tools now.

System is tool grid

Man you really ought to clear coat that stuff so it doesnt corrode with time. Raw aluminum likes to get a weird cloudiness after a while.

If you want it to look like that forever you can use this stuff they use on airplanes Henkel Bonderite M-CR 1001 Aero. Its like a clear chroming for lack of better words. You can apply it and leave it or then apply a clear over it. On airplanes that you see that are raw aluminum, they apply this to the aluminum and then clear coat over it

Got a few things moving. All the hardware and windows are out of all the doors getting it ready to sand blast and prime. Sending off all the hardware to be re zinc coated. I can’t afford a proper body shop so I’ll be doing all the prep myself. Meaning front cowl and roof are coming off. I am planning on getting the frame finished before getting to body and paint. My theory is working from the frame up.

Rear 80 axel has been blasted. Hopefully I’ll paint it in the next week. From there i want to weld in leaf spring perches and figure out rear sway bar.

Planing on going to valley hybrids to assemble my transfer case and h55f. I just want to make sure i have a pro helping out.

Working on the window regulator trays. There was so much rust in the tray. Taking all the regulator and tracks to my powder coated next week.

IMG_3681.jpeg
A thin putty knife pushes the track off the window safely. Make sure to push on The track and not the window. then when complete you would use window regulator tape to reapply.

I installed the leather kit on the passenger seat and driver seat. I re did the seat foam on both butts. Leather is from LSeats.com. They are not perfect. But dang good for the price. I would highly recommend them.

Also Swapped the seat foam base driver/passanger. I had to do the very common seat bolster repair to the original “driver” bottom

i am working on something cool with@plaidwagon. I cannot button up the backs just yet.

I love that your build is sooooo different than what my goals for a 60 would ever be … and it’s still coming together as a badass truck. We all take different paths and it’s really cool to watch folks do something totally different. Love it.

Thanks! I appreciate that!

I beat to my own drum. I figured since it’s a restomod might as well make it mine.

@Box Rocket did a render for my plan. I am debating which color to go with. I love both for their own reasons.

The white will be 033 Toyota white
The grey is LC250 - Meteor Shower
