an australian old man citizen crossed southern Greece.And he decided to sell it. so the car passed to greek hands. the problem it was with the legislative framework that did not allow to change over historical number plates. So the car has been sent to Germany. There received historical number plates. And as Germany and Greece belongs to EU it was easy to change over to greek historical plates.too much paper job for saved a legend.
 
everybody will agree that offset and shape of 120series wheel BFG KM2 265-75-17 its not so nice like 31/10.5/15 wheel.

water pump's body when cleaned with brush revealed a hole (due to plain water all these years).reinforced all around the pipe with alu plastic steel

Stay with the 15'' and put some 32x11.50r15 tires on it.
That will fill up the wheel wells nicely.
Firsts thoughts are keep 15 " disc wheel with 33s on it .and a secondary 4x disc wheels with 44 offset for 35's (followed by body lift)
 
This will keep for ..40 years more...

water pump found with leakage.renewed from Terrain tammer .some differences are the studs of the fan that are smaller about 1.5 mm and that body of impeller have 3 holes with bigger diameter comparing to the original that have 2 holes with smaller diameter

Terrain tamer's kit for brakes well received

The lithium soap grease not enough (toyota provides 1 plastic bag with grease for one set).here for 2 sets one grease bag.so ordered from toyota the rubber grease

40 years the dust boots did not change.broken in small pieces like biscuits and the result is this corrosion with pittings to the lips of the cylinder.

Measurements taken to the disc as per maker.
The thickness found 1-1.5mm less than standard and will renew .Additionally the radial runout found to the limits.The lateral runout not measured.
The fuel filter renewed and founs some small impurities ,solids inside.
brake hoses rear and front extended.

Started the bleeding of Dot 3 liquid .its obvious from the colour to the bottle when the new liquid push the old one via the hose ,the old brown one (how many years stayed inside).
Every 2 years must renew all the quantity .

Engine run for 5 hours..and next day found a small sign of leakage from radiator.
It was sent for repair...
Scratch the paint and let it all night.next day about 20 droplets collected to a container under it.
The radiator removed again.and sent it to another repair shop. There found 4 cracks more to the upper side cover.the previous technician when asked how much pressure applied for the test ,he answered 2.5 bars.!!! He said that this make to all the radiators.He did not follow the manual that said 1.2 bars.probably he never tested ,otherwise he would found the 3 extra cracks to the upper cover.

The new technician discovered the new 3 cracks after soldering the crack to the lower cover and press it.when asked how much pressure applied for the test he didnt know but with common sense he show to me the value to the radiator's cap that is 0.9 opening and he assumed to press it a little more to 1.1-1.2bars..
