I read the replies on that pic. Apparently, people are skeptical of my skills and/or lunacy. I think @Markuson might have a video of that drop.

I missed that post. Do you mean the hard landing into the water!

Has anyone used a Yakima Swing Daddy bike carrier or equivalent with this bumper? Is there enough clearance when the bike rack is fully swung out and the bumper swing outs are fully swung out and locked? If not is it possible to have tire mounted on left side and ladder on right side?

Don't know about the bike carrier but the tire mount is not designed in such a way that it can be moved to the left side.

With that said another thought; you could very likely get creative and mount bike carriers on the accessory ladder on the left side, so long as you spaced it out far enough from the ladder that it cleared the spare...

Just caught my OEM bumper cover on a tree stump (2017 200), was able to pop it back on but it is cracked on the lower half. Sound like an opportunity to upgrade but before I go down that road do I need to upgrade my suspension?, or can I add the slee bumper then upgrade suspension later? Also any installers in Portland metro area that could do the install or should I be planning a road trip?

Accessory Outfitters in Beaverton can install that bumper.

I got a quote over the phone from them on doing BP51's and it was really really high... almost double what Slee quoted me. I was afraid to ask how much they would charge to install the bumper.

I can't see how any suspension install at a reputable shop should be charged more than 6-8 hours of labor. IIRC Toyota labor is 3 hours to swap the fronts and my mechanic and I did the rear springs and shocks (and put in new airbags) in less than 2 hours. I know the BP51s have external reservoirs that need to be mounted, and if you do UCAs (which you should) they're 1.5-2 hours (I did them in 3, by myself, having never done them before, and with hand tools)

Did you check your local TLC club house? Might be some knowledge there to assist a DYI install saving you coin for future mods. And youll know whats going on with your set up should you ever want to tinker with it which is invaluable

I would love to do the install myself... Replaced the CV axles on my old Trooper. Maybe I am hesitant since its a brand new rig and a $80K truck at that... Maybe I need to just man up and do it... :)

I paid for ~6 hours of labor for the install of my Icons + an alignment. Anyone going north of that is either taking advantage of you or perhaps hedging their bets due to unfamiliarity of the task at hand.

IMHO, you don't lose man points for letting a shop install this thing.
It's a SWEET BUMPER, but it's a pretty major install.

-Even in Slee's own shop with their own gurus & bumper, this is MORE than a full day's work...and that's by guys who have done it multiple times.

The thing about a 200 is there is some trimming of the fender material and it was worth it to me to have Slee do both front a rears. Note I have ARBs, but the trimming is very similar

I found Land Cruiser's Northwest here in the Portland area who quoted me a descent price on install of the BP51's (~about 7 hours includes installing TC UCA's). I asked about installing a rear bumper and said they do ARB bumpers. If what you say is true Romer maybe I can get them to install the Slee rear bumper, just trying to avoid a very long drive to Colorado.

I would ask Slee since you are planning on buying. He can give you specifics

Where does the 7 pin connector get located on/under this bumper?

Sorry if there's a pic posted somewhere, didn't make it through all 14 pages!

TIA.

Right side under and recessed somewhat above and forward of the lowest portion of the main bumper structure....facing downward. I’ll try to shoot a photo soon.

what was the weight of this bumper? I remember reading it...maybe it is way back in this thread. I was too lazy to look through the whole thread again. :)

It’s no lightweight...but that’s a good thing. I have it it SO hard sooo many times with my very heavy rig...and nothing. Solid as Gibraltar.

Can’t remember weight, but 260 sticks in my mind. Maybe @sleeoffroad will chime in.

Hi @Markuson if you can take a quick photo of the trailer plug location that would be awesome. Thank you!
