Where did you get the TEQ badge? I found someone on eBay/Etsy but it was listed for 80/100.

eBay guy. Quality, machined aluminum. Model doesn’t matter. It’s an emblem and it attaches like most emblems with 3M adhesives.

Just realized I might not have posted the final bumper in this Slee bumper thread...

So...
Slee Bumper: Gave it a beating...not phased even a little. Just Solid.

Strength Testimonial:
On a Hell's Gate screw-up in Moab...
-The bumper WING ALONE was the ONLY THING that saved my rig's right side panels.
Hit HARD. Zero damage. Bit of black paint on the wing and good to go.

Here it is with the 3-Can Basket...

As a 100 owner I rarely tread elsewhere and the 200 never appealed much to me because I am still loving the 100 but this one definitely is one I could envision owning. That color is great. Reading this thread because of the Slee provided link in the 100 forum where discussion is happening on a new version rear bumper for the 100. If it is anything like the 200 bumper I may have to get on the waiting list.

Loving that whip @Markuson does it change colors ?

Thanks! I’m super happy with it. Finally wired up an external switch and quick-mount si it’s easy to turn on/off without removing or opening the truck.

To your Q... -There are many colors available, but they aren’t color-changing. -At least not Buggy Whip’s products.

I chose amber because I was thinking it would make a decent, subdued camp light that isn’t as prone to insects. Turns out it’s a GREAT camp light that doesn’t blind me...casts 360 degree usable light...and of course means folks will see me before we smash over the same turn/mound/dune in the dark (and a daylight flag too).

It’s a quality product that I enthusiastically recommend.

This is a occasional-use item only.
You don’t drive around town with this thing and don’t use it for general wheeling.
It is application/terrain-specific & has a quick-mount setup for easy mounting & removal. I’ll use this in the local desert, and most of that time, it will not be lit.

But anyway... Here is “why...”

-If you ever do desert runs with blind dunes, turns, or heavy dust...it is **extremely important** (and required in many locales) that you have a flagged buggy whip so people don’t fly over a dune and kill you/themselves because thry didn’t know you were coming.

After dark, it’s even more important...especially when dust gets out of control.

At several points flying through Baja earlier this year as I trailed Cole ( @indycole ), the ONLY thing I could see was his amber follower light. This works the same way at night, but with the height to alert those over bumps, etc.

Anyway... Do even a single dune or wavy trail in a busy, dusty, desert area at dusk or beyond...and you will immediately wish you had one of these.

Some following you in Moab? It’s great to be able to see which way a vehicle turns when they otherwise disappear over a blind slickrock top that veers off in unknown directions. Think Hell’s Revenge. Tons of blind rock-top turns.

No I won’t. Never. That thing is ridiculous.

Maybe just hang back a bit.

Ridiculous?

In the Oregon dunes, you are REQUIRED to have a flagged whip and will be fined if you don’t.

Hanging back doesn’t help when you near the top of a sand dune and someone coming at you the opposite direction doesn’t know you’re there.

The desert dunes aren’t trails. They are a free-for-all. You need to see other vehicles before you hit the top or you both end up dead.

If you think it’s rediculous @wngrog ...please stay away from the dunes. You’ll end up killing someone if you refuse to use a whip.

Shotts? Is that you?

Just regulations, man...

$1000 fines suck (if not death) :)

BLM dune areas have similar regs.

Light is off most of the time, but in certain conditions and at night, it’s very effective.

Ya, it will spend about 99% of its time in my garage. Basically some types of desert & dunes...just a flag pole til after dark at that.
