Does anyone have a step-by-step video of how to remove a 2013 LC bumper cover? I'm having a local shop paint a new one, and I'd like to save a few bucks by installing it myself.

Thanks!

No video but….

Remove plastic radiator cover

Remove three 10mm bolts holding grille wings and center.

Remove front camera harness. Pretty tricky.. I needed an o-ring pick to get the tab to release.

Use flathead screwdriver to work around the grille perimeter to loosen all tabs. The ones under the aux trans cooler are a PITA. Last tabs are the brown ones in the upper corners into the headlamp assembly.. the little rectangular tab pushes to the side and the grille corners pop out. I do these last because working all the other tabs loose can re-seat them.

You’ll see plastic rivets that need to be removed once the grille is out.

Pinch off headlamp washer hose (or it’ll drain the reservoir) and squeeze the oval retainer to disconnect. While you’re there DC the harness for the fogs and parking sensors.. there is a white lever on the connector that swings upward and it’ll wiggle apart. Often gets sand in this fouling the mechanism.. wiggle a lot.

Under the vehicle.. remove the splash shield plastic side wings and handful of 10mm bolts holding the lower edge of the skin. I think once the side wings come off there’s another couple bolts that hold the skin on.

T30 screws in the wheel wells.. once you get the screw out you can kindof peel the S-shaped retainer away and the wheel edges of the skin can work loose.

With the sides loose you grab the bumper skin just below the seam to the metal fender and peel outward.. it’ll pop out of the retainer. It helps a lot to have another person do the other side while you support the skin.

Should just come right off the front.

While you’re in there inspect the pins in the fog harness connector.. mine were corroded and making a poor connection.

When you go to reinstall the grille the brown corner tabs come out of the headlamp and pop into spots in the grille.. makes stabbing the grille again easier.

This is all from memory.. I’ll update if I think of anything else.

Edit: turns out there is an LX grille removal video in that thread. Should help.. very small differences per my friend’s 13 LX

Tremendous! Thanks so much!

There’s a video on YouTube, I’ve seen it. Might be for a hidden winch mount, but it’ll get you there.

Edit: see if this works for you.
